  1. I too am 4 weeks post op from a breast lift and tummy tuck. I would absolutely do the breast lift! I was a 38G before I was banded, last time I was fitted I was a 34DD. I'm still wearing sports bras, so I don't know my new size, but I would think it's about the same, they just are back where they belong! Sensation doesn't seem to be a problem and recovery has been a breeze!
  2. It's been two weeks since I had a breast lift and tummy tuck. You will be so glad you did it. My lap band surgery was March '06. I've lost almost 100lbs. Good luck!
  3. I was self pay as well, and here is how mine broke down. 10,000 hospital including 3-4 dietician visits 6,000 Dr. including fills for one year 1,700 Anesthesia
  4. Just wondering if there are any lapband tennis players? I am 3 weeks post-op and wanting to play. Dr. said take it easy and I am assuming that is because of the stitches for the port. Anybody have any advice? Thanks! banded 3/23 281/?/150
  5. I was told no coffee, no caffeine! I guess it's a good thing I don't drink coffee.
  6. WOW! I haven't had a PB yet, but I have had everything you just described except for something coming up! Sounds like I don't want that to happen. I was amazed at the pain of what I guess everyone calls a "golf ball". Unbelievable! And it happens when I wouldn't expect it, like eating cottage cheese this morning! Thanks for sharing! I couldn't help but laugh, because I've been there right with you! 3/23 banded
  7. how do you know if you have a slip? I'm afraid I might have eaten too much the first 2 weeks post surgery, now I'm worried too. I was supposed to still be on full liquids, but I just couldn't take it. I've had mostly mushy and chewed real good. I haven't had any PB's, actually I feel like I don't even have the band on. ?????? HELP
  8. My story is very similar. I was also self-pay, I had my surger in Green Bay Wisconsin. My total bill seems to be about 11,700.00. This includes my fills for one year and dietician at the hospital. I did absolutely no research. I knew someone who had it and just made the call one day and the rest is history. My first appt. with the Dr. was March 10, pre-op appt. was March 14, surgery was March 23! It helps to not have the insurance hassle and not having any health problems other than the extra weight! Good luck with you decision! ellette 281/259/160
  9. I feel the same way!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I can eat everything and anything, can gulp Water, don't know what it feels like to be full and I'm hungry! I'm supposed to still be on full liquids, but I've gone to mushy to try to keep from over eating! I ate a chocolate bunny the other day. I'm disappointed and frusturated! HELP! ellette banded 3/23
  10. Congratulations! I also was banded 12 days ago. I've been doing well, except a couple of days where I felt so hungry! I think what happened is that I wasn't eating enough and my body just had it and mayble a little PMS. I definately feel that I will need a fill right away. I've started to exercise but haven't felt like I can go all out because of the limited food intake. I'm going to try to step it up this week. Anybody with any advice regarding exercise? Dr. Kemmerling, Green Bay WI 281,269,160
  11. One week out today! 19lbs, only 100 more to go! Doing well, feeling good, feeling kinda hungry, not sipping enough!
