My kids are much younger that most of the kids you are all talking about. But I know in my house I am the boss. My kids get 2 hours of t.v. a day and 1 hour of vidio games a day. On rainy days we will make an exception to the rule. The first three hours of the day is cleaning, they all pitch in. We make beds , clean rooms, and pickup everything off the floor. The my DH vaccumes (5yrs) while I mop and my two youngest (3-2) do some thing with Water. Wash dishes, spray and wipe down baseboards ect..... I guess its nice that their young enough that cleaning together is still fun... lol We do stupid stuff like blast the music and run around and sing.. As far as entertainment, we do a weekly run to the dollar store and we pick out fun projects to do all together. They have some cool stuff up there like this week we got birdhouses to build and paint, some sand pictures, and paint by numbers. This is all stuff that they can do outside so no mess to clean up. We also invested 100.00 in one of the Pc pipe pools. It is a life saver in the summer. They never have NOTHING to do. We also go fishing, to parks, and we love to go to the Dollar movie's. sleep overs are a big deal at my house but its always a two day event. I make a deal with the parents of the kids that sleep over. I take yours you take mine... That way i get some time without any kids in exchange for one crazy night, with 5 or 6 kids.

I agree with Paulex, I want to see a before and after pic... I think that will also help you to see the results...

I took my kids to see cars with the whole family, I mean grandparents, cousins, sisters, aunts, EVERYONE> We took up an entire row..lol But we loved it. My 20mnths old keepps asking to see it again and everytime a commercial comes on we argue for 10 mins, because he wants to watch cars. I keep telling him we don't own it.. lol As much as I loved the movie I can't wait till MD's stops putting the cars in happy meals. We have had MD's so much I can't stand thinking about it...

I was also told to drink up... I can give up my cokes but no way can I go w/o coffee....

Today I am getting up and going to DH's mom house. We are going to be cooking out so My diet is shot. (it doesn't have to be but I don't feel like being good today, or maybe tomorrow) I am so excited about the upcoming surgeries. I have been on this board for months watching everyone else lose weight, and I am happy that it is finally my turn. I read someone elses journal last night and I am ready to work my butt off to get the same results she had. Her workout routine is freaken amazing.. She rides her bike like 30 miles a day.. and does weights.. walks.. ect... Monday, I am getting my bike out and going for a ride (it won't be 30 miles) but if I can do one I will be happy to work my way up.

I have stones, yuk! So I am getting mine removed on the 30th and then having the band surgery on the 25th of july.. My brother (30), neice, (16), and sister (28) all had theirs removed because of stones so I was expecting it.

I had to have all my paperwork submitted and approved before my doc. would even set my surgery date. I was approved by UHC in ten days, and was going to have my surgery 12 days after that but Gall Stones were found in my pre testing so we are getting that taken care of first (june 30th) then I will have my band done on july 25th... Hang in there, it will be APPROVED before you know it... Good luck

1 hour of cross trainer. Wanted to strength train but to sore. I am making myself a 20 X 30 patio with stones in the back yard and my arms are killing me from leveling the ground with the shovel. Tomorrow I am laying the sand and plastice and starting the concret molds.

(((HUGS))) X2 First, I want you to tell you that we are here for you. I agree with everything everyone before me said. You should not let her talk to you that way. I am in nursing school and the day I don't ENJOY my job, and love my patients, and empathize with them, is the day I quit. I am sure of this. If she is treating you this way, she has done it with someone else. You will not be the first to complain on her. If you are sure you can do it over the phone, talk in email. I know when I am fuming mad, if I get on the phone I cry, but at times like that, its either cry or tear someone a new a&%. This will so be worth everything you have gone through in the end. I hope you feel better...

I am so happy for you!!! We will be having our surgeries in the same month... YEAH Can't wait...

I swear my kids are driving... Now my son has a PENIS. He went to his paw paw yesterday to spend the night and I got a phone call this morning. My dad asked me what I have done to my son? I was like hu? what do you mean? He said that this morning he got up to go to the bathroom and Kaleb(my son) walked in while he was doing his thing. My son ran up to him and said PAW PAW thats your penis not your wee wee. Then he ran out of the bathroom and told everyone in the house, (nana, and two dd ) that pawpaw has a penis LIKE ME!! and he said it with pride!!! lol My dad was laughing so hard that he had to call me. I told him we had just gave it a new name and now he's just trying it out for size i guess.. He did tell me that my brother also had an obsession with his for about a year then, although he was surly still obsessed with it, he got to the age where he did that in private.. THANK GOD Thanks for all the stories, its so nice to know my son is not a FREAK.. lol

I swear by AIR-BORN. It was made by a teacher who was around sick kids all day. I love the stuff (its all natural) anytime I feel some thing coming on I take this and I feel better by the next day. Its an immune system boster so if i were you I would start it now.. It couldn't hurt.. It is ava. everywhere walmart, walgreens,rite aid ect....Good luck

Thank you all for your support, I am jumping back on the wagon today, but I am not going to do the diet as much as I want to. I just don't think I can do it. But I can eat healthy from the four food groups.... So I am happy doing that.

My GB surgery is in a week, the band surgery is in a month so I started the sacred heart diet today. I did so awsome today, but tonight I blew it, and bad... I had a horrible headache, and my hubby made beer battered fish and I ate one tiny piece, and that was the start of a huge down fall. I ate crackers, chicken nuggets, brownies and then more fish... :faint: AAAAAHHHH why do I do this? I have no will power when it comes to food. But when it comes to any thing else I'm as strong as a rock.. (smoking,drinking ect..) Now sitting here mad at myself, I'm thinking, am I ready to do this lapband thing? I know alot of you have said you are tight in the morning and wide open at night, and I am terrified that I am going to do this and FAIL once again... I am tired of feeling like a failure, I guess I am just really scared right now...

Thank you kat, My hubby talked to the ins. adjustors mang and told her how we had been treated and he said we had spent hours trying to get in touch with this woman because she NEVER called back, so the mang offered us an apoligy first off which was needed then added an xtra 400.00 for time on phone. We were just so angry because they way we were treated.. I am so happy you healed well, and go figure we are taking the settlement and paying for my DH lapband..

I know you don't want to start over with another dr. But it would probley be less headach. I did all the stuff my doc asked and they did EVERYTHING else. I was approved in 10 days.. if you have a doctor's office that will hold up their end of the bargain you should not have to do much. If it were me I would change drs. and get one that will fight for you not against you.. good luck...

Ok I am having band put in july 25th and I knew this day would come (where I have a date ) but now I get this nervous pit feeling in my stomach when I read about complications.. (no, it's not hunger) My DH are doing this together and I am so scared that one of us will have problems. My questions is "IF" you have band complications do most doctors offer to do another surgery in place of the band? And if so will they do them at the same time? I don't want RNY but if it is that or nothing, if I lose the band, I would do it. (I think ) Thanks

AOL = devil in my home. We had them on a three month free trial basis. At the end of the three months they sent me a card saying if I stayed I could get it for 14.99mnth so I signed it and sent it back. Then I got my bill.... 28.99+5.00 (They said the five dollars was a charge from my bank, but it said aol by the charge) Yeah right.... So I called, They refused to honor offer and said they never got it, Then This woman (saleslady) kept me on the phone for 45 mins trying to sale me everyplan under then sun. I said Nope not unless it's 14.99 a month. So we agreed to cancel the account. And I even told her to send me a letter that it was canceled. I got a new internet service and got my bank statment the next month. This theif (salelady) signed me up for the yearly rate. Over 200.00, I was livid. It took me 6 months to get them to cancel my account. Everyone kept telling me they did but then they would not cancel it. I got a letter from an law company because they were in a class action law suit but I never joined it.. But it was for un-athorized charging people accounts.. Exactly what they did to me. Go figure...

My sister can't eat banannas either so she ought three jars of babyfood. I am so excited.. 13 lbs is AWSOME!!! good job funny.. so are you going to do it again next week?
