  1. I was banded by Dr Oh Feb 2008. I too was told he was had to get along with and I actually found that we got along really well. He is strict about losing the weight before surgery. But just do your best. Once you by day 3 its cake. My weight loss hasnt been as fast as some, but Im done 70lbs in 10 months. Im happy with it. My goal is only 1lb a week and I meet that and more. Dont upset yourself it will all work out :sneaky: Youre starting down the road to a WONDERFUL experience. I feel so much better and Im really just getting going. Best of luck to you
  2. Hi Guys, I had my first fill about 2 weeks ago. I'm still able to eat like a cup of food at a sitting. It just seems like allot to me from what I was told. Should I be worried or concerned? Would you call the Dr. ? My weight loss has slowed down some too. Any advise is really appreciated, I'm a newbie at this  PS for lunch I just had a flour tortia and some hummus. Then a choc Protein bar.. Doesn't that seem like allot?
  3. Hi Is this group still going? I was banned 1/20 and I'd like to find a local group. I'm in the PO area. Thanks
  4. Hi All I was banded with Dr Oh on 1/20 I'm down 31 lbs and haven't had my first fill yet. Is anyone having a problem keeping to the all liquid diet for the first month? I just can't I've added s/f puddings, soft cooked eggs and mashed potatoes. It's just to hard to only stick to Protein drinks. Surgery went amazingly well though. No gas, nasua etc etc. I'm doing very well. Only complaint I had was being told to be at the hospital in Fed Way at 5:30 AM and finding out my surgery wasn't until 4PM. They wouldn't let me leave either... I was NOT a happy camper. Their office staff needs to get on the ball a bit more letting you know when changes happen. That was the second time that had happened. As for Dr. Oh I love the man... V
  5. Hi Guys, Well, I had my fill 1/20 and am doing so good it almost scares me. No gas, no naseua, hardly any pain. Of course the hospital was what I expected but it's really gone well. What is bugging me, is Dr Oh said ONLY liq for two weeks. broth and Jello that's it. I'm really feeling weak. I go for my first check up tomorrow but I have to have a Protein drink today... I'm down 26lbs including my preop diet.
  6. Hi All, My date is Jan 20th, I got bumped from Dec 30th so I still feel like a Dec Bandster :tongue2: I have a silly question and not sure I really want to know... but what is sliming? Obviously I know what PB and vomiting is, but not sure on that term.
  7. I'm being banded Jan 20th with Dr Oh. I'm really happy with everything I've learned about him. While I was going through all the pre-op testing I talked to allot of the staff at St Francis. I heard how tough they can be, BUT almost always that was followed with "That's probably why his patients do so well" Hang in there. It's worth it imo. :tongue2:
  8. It's so nice to hear how good you guys are doing. Can I ask a silly question? When you say the protein shakes go down well, are you drinking much of them at one time? Or just tiny sips all day?
  9. Grats SweetZ !! Keep us posted how you're doing. Not sure why but it always amazes me how everyone is doing so well after surgery. Thanks Pete I really appreciate it. The way I'm looking at it is HEY I get a glass of Champagne on New Years Eve !!
  10. Hi All, Ok I'm a bit down today. My surgery was scheduled for Dec 30th. I got a call yesterday saying my Doc had to have surgery himself !! So, my new date is January 20th. I started the pre-op diet early so I'm already sick of it haha !! What's ment to be happens I guess. Just a bit down.
  11. Hi All, Dec 30th here !! I'm excited and nevous like everyone. Question, has anyone had any problems with flying after surgery? Small chance I might go to a reunion 2 weeks after surgery. I'm not sure if I should though.
  12. Hi Neighbor ! I miss read that, I thought you had your lap bad done 2 days ago. How encouraging, you have done amazing. I'm so glad I found this site, it's really answered allot of questions. (a million more to come I'm sure) I'd read a bad post about the office and was a little concerned, but I've heard SOOO much good, it's nice to hear how well you've done.
  13. You'll do GREAT !! Keep us updated.
  14. Hi All, I just found this thread. Goldie I'm hoping you're doing great !! I have my surgery with Dr Oh on Dec 30th. Still aways away, but with all the appts. coming up, it'll be here fast. Thanks everyone for all the info. Vicki
