  2. hi thanks for ur replys. i went to my gp and my nurse told me to leave it open to let the air get to it which i did, but last night it started to really bleed so ended up at a and e where the dr they said it needed evacuating, i didnt have any infection but a build up of the blood had gathered and he squoze it all out all bad blood and including some clots, so glad i went and he said it was a good job i did go as it would have turned to an abscess if i hadnt gone and had it removed so good job it had started to bleed . i got to go back to my gp on monday now so he can look at it. so take notice peeps any problems go to hospital as can need looking at.. thanks.denise:eek:
  3. hiya, yes this happened to me to exactly the same, it started a week after my op, the same as u dark red blood, when i looked mine is from where the stitch was , i saw my nurse at my gp surgery and she put a mepore dressing back on and said keep and eye on it..i also called dietician at the hospital where i had it done and she said she would inform my surgeon, she also said that it is normal as it can take upto 3 months to heal properly, and just keep an eye on it, i went to my nurse again today and it is healin but very slow.. i can also feel my port too and that is also normal. it has been 4 weeks since my op and it is still bleeding but it is getting less... hope i put ur mind at ease if ur like me u will still be a bit concerned.. all the best denise.x
