  1. Ya! So?? What about it ?????? lol Sorry, couldn't resist. But yes, The moods were definitely in full swing, so to speak, for about 9 months. I'm much better now. I was banded a year ago in October. I hope things calm down for you soon :-)
  2. Wa-Hoo!!!!!! NSV's totally rock !!!!! Congratulations :-)
  3. I agree - i'm down 65 pounds, and I'm still wearing the same clothes too. OK, i NEED new clothes because these are literally falling off of me now, but I dont have a lot of money to spend, so after christmas, I'm going to go out and get a few Basics - Black slacks , Gray or Brown slacks, tops for work , new bras and panties. That ALONE will cost a fortune! lol When i find out what size I am, I'll post on here again and let you know :-) Oh, i started out as a 26/28 on the bottom, and 22/24 on the top
  4. Congrats !!!! I'm SO looking forward to boots. I've ALWAYS wanted a pair of " Horse Riding Boots" , you know, up to the knee, barely a heel. I cant get my foot into anything like that - for one thing, my feet have gone flat over the years with the weight , and secondly , my calves are too fat also. But the day I can get into them ?? I use them as my Dangling Carrot, so to speak :-) I also had an NSV of my own a few nights ago. I sat on the edge of the bed, getting my bf up for work, and i was able to ....... ( drum roll .... ) Cross my legs!!! I know it seems so trivial to most, but i havent been able to cross my legs since my early college years ! I was just talking to him, and i realized "my legs are crossed" ! Who can i share this with ??? LOL  NSV's are the best, aren't they ??
  5. Thanks for posting this :-) I've been debating getting a Body Bugg ... I don't exercise much, and I'm curious just how many calories I really DO take in / burn in a day. Thanks Again!
  6. Grand Forks, North Dakota :-)
  7. Hey Cingulus! Havent heard from you for a while :-) How are you doing ??? When did you have your surgey?
  8. How are you doing ? Any Complications at all ?? I'm sure you're going thru a thousand emotions at this time. If you have ANY questions, comments, or snide remarks ( :tongue2: ) Just let us know! We're here to help you !!! Keep me posted on your success. You're Soooo Worth it!
  9. Hey there!! Sooooo ??? How are you doing ?? Any major pain ? Any complications? Keep us posted on how you're doing :-)
  10. OK - Let's review, shall we?? :smile2: First off - Congrats on the 20 pounds ! Thats 20 pounds less to carry around on your back and knees ... 1600 Calories - True, most do need 1000 - 1200 in order to lose weight. However, it's not carved in stone any where. Alot of it can depend on WHAT your calories consist of. Complex or Simple Carbs ? Protein ? Sugars ? etc... Always, Always, eat your protein first, before ANYTHING else ! I was skeptical at first, but it really DOES fill you up faster :tongue2: I'm sure you have SOME head Hunger , as we all did at first. However, you could need all 10 cc's to find your sweet spot. Don't rule it out! Again, 30 min a day is wonderful ! It's a whole lot more than some do on a daily basis ( some of us shall remain nameless :nono: ) At least you're moving, and as busy as you are, you should be proud of yourself for that! With the GB or the Sleeve, you may lose the weight quicker, but its not healthier. And the re-gain of weight is much more probable. With the Band, you're learning a whole new way of life , eating , drinking, exercise, and frame of mind. If you eat something bad, get over it and move on. No need to beat yourself up. Just start over ... ONE HOUR AT A TIME! ok ??? Now Chin Up ! You're so worth it !!
  11. Woo-Hoo !!!! 52 pounds! Thats Awesome ! I'm down 62 this first year, and hope to do another 62 or so this next year :-) Then I'll be at goal. What type of exercise are you doing? Are you measuring your food? I do sometimes, but not ALL the time. Just wondering if anyone else does. Keep us posted on how you're doing, ok?? And thanks for responding! I was beginning to feel all alone here :-(
  12. Where, oh Where can my Smashing Pumpkins Be? Oh where , oh where can they be ???????? Where are the October '08 bandsters? Or even the '09 Bandsters? How are you doing? What's working for you? What isn't? How much have you lost? I'd love to know how you all are doing! Please respond on the specific month/year forum - Oct'08 ... Looking forward to hearing from each one of you !
  13. Back in the saddle?? YUP! Me too lol I'm just a bad bandster :-( I still seem to think i can eat anything I want, and more than I should. Throwing up has been almost a daily activity for me. Well, not DAILY ... but at least 2-3 times in a week. I'm still not used to my CHEST feeling full, and not my STOMACH ! I mean, I own over a dozen Weight Loss Surgery books, I've gone thru classes, met with Dieticians, am online daily with dofferent sites. It's not like I'm in the dark about how this is supposed to work, ya know? So why can't i just do what needs to be done?
  14. How did you do over Thanksgiving?? I did pretty well :-) In the past 3-4 weeks, I haven't lost, but I haven't gained either, so I figure not adding a plethora of pounds makes the holiday a success ! :-) Just wondering how all of my peeps are doing!
  15. I agree with Humming Bird - You're too tight. Been there a few times myself. They can add only .25 Cc , or .5 cc at a time, so maybe you want to have half of what you just had put in, taken out. Especially if you didnt have enough restriction before the fill. Find a happy medium :-) Good Luck!
  16. WOW! Thats crazy! When I go in for a fill, my Dr removes all of the lquid in my band - to make sure I have the same amount in there that i'm supposed to have, and that I'm not losing any to a slow leak or anything - and then puts in the Fill amount... And I don't know of any Dr that would put 6 cc's in at one time! Unless its just me, but that seems like an awful lot at one time to me ... I'm glad they were able to figure it out for you ! :-) Best of luck !!!!
  17. Hey there! Congratulations !! :-) Welcome aboard ! You're going to find all kinds of advice, recipes, and support here .... The best of luck to you :-)
  18. btrieger - I'm gonna try it, and take it slow at first... Thanks :-) I see you're a BodyBugg groupie lol I take it you really like it? trying to decide IF i want to get it, and then if i want the BB or the GoWear Fit .....
  19. Hey Cat Lady - I LOVE your new baby !! So precious :-)
  20. Hey Sue !! How are you ? I think about you often! I still have you on my Buddy list here. So many people come and go ... Glad to see you're still around here :-)
  21. Thank you so much for the suggestions ! :-)
  22. So what's the Gabriel Method ? I've never heard of it. I'm always open to new ideas and suggestions :-)
  23. Ok, so basicaly what you're all telling me that NONE of you is the exercise fairy and are planning a trip to ND any time soon to tap me on head with a magic wand to make me lose weight without having to exert myself what so ever?? BOOOOOO !!! :-( ( LOL ) SO walking is good. No matter what. Got it ! I agree that water aerobics is the POO !!! I love it! However, None of the Gyms around my area have pools, except for the Y , and its got really dumb hours that dont work with my work schedule. Figures, right? So I need a good pair of shoes, my pedometer and some Pain reliever for my knees, and I'm good as gold, correct?? :-) I really appreciate all of the responses ... Thank you for your time and support ! I love this site !!!
  24. WOW! Body Bugg ? Gowear ?? This is all new to me! I've never heard of these items before .... How do they work ?
  25. OK ... Walking. I know its a good thing. I know it helps. My question is this : Does it really make a difference?? I mean, can you really lose weight just from walking? Doesn't it depend on how FAST you go ? And how FAR you go ?? I have crappy knees, and exercise just isn't in my vocab. But some days I could handle walking. Just not for an hour at a time walking so fast i can hear the wind in my ears!! :cursing: Any thoughts to share??? Thanks :-)
