  1. terry5, thanks for the encouragement. I go to my bariatric appt tomorrow. I'm starting a new beginning with my band.
  2. I strongly recommend NOT GETTING A FILL!!!! I had surgery in 12/09. By 04/10 I was filled with 6cc. I had a horrible experience being overfilled which resulted in almost all of the solution being removed from my band. I had to start over. It has been an uphill battle but I am now back up to 5.2cc. I am due to get a fill this week, but I am still a little afraid. Please be careful. YOU DO NOT WANT TO START OVER!!!! :rolleyes2::thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown: As a result, I've actually gained a little due to eating the "easier" stuff. I am back on protein shakes tomorrow. Good Luck!
  3. I was banded on 12/30/09. After going through the pre-surgery diet during Christmas I knew that I could do anything! Little did I know about eating around the band :-( I have got to get on track now. I appreciate any help that you all can offer. Once again I feel like a failure. Help!!!!
  4. These words have been so encouraging. You are all a blessing in disguise. I just watched the Biggest Loser and this time last year I told myself that I would be a slimmer, healthier me. I have had some obstacles in the past months but am ready to get back on track. I will start my protein shakes tomorrow! (and stay in touch with this post!)
  5. Smashburger is the best hamburger I have ever eaten!!!!! I haven't tried one since being banded yet though. (banded 12/30/09). I did have a bite of corned beef on St Paddy's and it got stuck!!! I didn't think it would ever move. Taking a drink has been catastrophe in the past so I had to wait. Won't do that again!!!
