Hello, I live is SA right off Marbach and Hunt Lane. I saw Dr. Carcomo on my bday last Thursday and he said we are really for banding. I am so excited. My band date is this Thursday on the 25th. I was first told I would spend the night at Nix. Now they say I will go home the same day. I am happy with mt weight loss on these Meal Replacement drinks, but cant wait for the day when its real food again. My future plans are to eat healthy aways, exercise, and lose all this weight. I have a lot of living to do and I want to enjoy the rest of my life. I have struggled all my life with weight. I have spent tons of money on every weight loss gimack there is with temperary results. I dont care how long it takes and how much I have to suffer if the end result is a lot of weight loss. It can't be as bad as the suffering I have been through all my life being overweight. I have read some of the horror storys on these forums, but the success storys far out weigh the horror. These success storys are my inspiration. I would love to keep in touch with other banders. Please feel free to offer any and all opinions and advice. I am always open for anything. Hello, My name is Choosie. I will be 53 on my last doctor’s visit before surgery (09/18) my banding date is 09/25. I am oh so excited. I have 6 children and soon to be 21 grandchildren. My oldest daughter lives in Stevenson Alabama. Her oldest daughter just started Chattanooga State. Two of my sons live in Graysville, Tennessee, Outside Chattanooga. I have another daughter in Chickamauga Georgia. My mom lives in Dalton Georgia. I have a son in Raleigh North Carolina. My baby lives here with me in San Antonio Texas. She just started college. I will be graduating from Texas A&M in December 09. I have been in Texas for 6 years. I am an 8 year widow, but live with a semi wonderful man LOL . Why all the above information? Because I saw lots of people on here from back home. I will always see Tennessee as back home. Even though I was raised on Sand Mountain in Alabama. I weighed 260 pounds when I started my pre surgery meal replacement. Now at the end of day 4 I have lost 7 pounds. (Is this possible?) I just want to say hello to all and hope I can call this home as I need all the support I can get. I am looking forward to reading all the wonderful posting and achievements. Oh my job? Hello Alabama, I was raised on Sand Mountain. Lived at Flat Rock. As an adult I lived across the state line in Tennessee. I now reside in San Antonio Texas. For the last 6 years anyway. I am getting banded September 25th. I am on day 4 of meal replacement drinks. They are kind of starting to taste good. Anyway feeling homesick today so thought I would say hey.

I have so much to learn. I have been to seminars and have a friend who has had this done. I just want to get past this meal replacement drinks and on to the surgery, I will eat slowly and savor every bite of food i eat for the rest of my life. lol

Thanks, at first he was like I will eat out before coming home and then wham here he comes in with my favorite pasta salad fixins. I just know I can do this, but I need better support. My doctor told me join an online support group.

I to am on day 3 of meal replacement drinks. My head hurts, I am shaky and hateful. Please say tomorrow when I wake up it will all be over and downhill. My surgery date is the 25th 12 more days.:wink_smile::thumbup:

Hi, My real nickname is Choosie. I am going to be 53 in a few days and I weigh 260 pounds ..a little less since my last doctor visit. I will be having the lap band surgery on the 25th of this month. I am on a high protein meal replacement drink. YUC!!! I have been on this drink for three days now. I just keep telling myself it is all going to be worth it. I just have to get past the cravings and the headaches. The shakiness and being hateful...to my partner who insists on tempting me with his cooking. He says it will build up my resistness...I think it's just damn cruel.:wink_smile: So I need someone to talk to to so Iwill not fail at this endeavor. I have a lot to gain from this surgey, my health is the most important of all. The need to feel sexy again and not look my age..people say I look 35 now anyway..i am open to any and all comments.
