  1. I would suggest contacting your doctor/surgeon and mentioning this issue. Never hurts to reach out to a professional. I'm 11 days post op. I still feel tired and weak. Wishing you all the best.
  2. Shock and BBob: I hope you both feel better and do your best to walk slowly, so you don't want differently. Best wishes to you both.
  3. HI All! I'm on day 3 of liquid diet and surgery is set for 11/30/23. I'll be taking off all of December from work as that is what doctor suggested for recovery time. My job is physically and mentally demanding. So, where did you/everyone get their bariatric Vitamins and calcium chews? My doctor recommended chewables for first 3 months, and honestly, I'm not a pill person anyway, if I can avoid it. Trying to watch my pennies, aren't we all, so thought I'd ask and hope for some good recommendations. The Kaiser Program I am going through recommends a couple different Vitamin brands to choose from: Bariatric Advantage and Celebrate. Still, would like to hear the vitamins you are using even if not the brands I mentioned. Thanks for your feedback in advance.

  5. What is the address for celebrate? I tried celebrate.com and that is not working.

  8. Hi Meisha, Wow, only 1 day of liquid diet? I'm on 2 weeks prior to surgery doing liquid diet. Today is day 3...a lil rough but I'm working through it. My surgery is scheduled for 11/30/23. I'm nervous too, just want it over with and work towards better health. Bravo for you for giving up gum...temporarily. Wishing you all the success with your surgery and recovery.
  9. Yikes!! That must have hurt your stomach. I sure hope you are feeling better now.
  10. Hiccups? Have your partner scare the hell out of you. Kidding, maybe not such a good idea. Hope they go away.
  11. So very happy for you. Enjoy the fish and eggs :) :) Keep up the good work.
  12. Hi CCat, This is my first day on liquid diet and guess I should've reviewed, again, the sample meal plan. Today I have had 2 cups of sf hot coco this morning, 1 Premier protein drink, 2 single sf popsicles, lunch had 1 cup bone broth, then 1 more protein drink, and now had a cup of bone broth for dinner. AND...now that I look at the sample meal plan I have certainly short changed myself big time. lol. The Kaiser meal plan has approx. 5 to 6 protein shakes daily, jello. **** almighty, no wonder I'm frigg'n starved right now. lol.
  13. How did the drive home go?? Wishing you all the best.
  14. Keep up the good work Bob. My surgery is 11/30, and started today with liquid diet...I'm hungry!!
  15. ZeeGee, awesome!! Congrats! Happy to hear you are doing fine. Keep up the good work. Night.
  16. I was told no yogurt, no pudding. I'm on day '1' of liquid diet and this evening having issues... I'm hungry! Blended soups?? I talk with the nurse tomorrow and will be asking about blended soups and bisques. so hungry I've had only 2 shakes so far, 1 cup of chicken bone broth, and a couple single sugar free popsicles. Getting ready to have another cup of 'bone broth' and will have another shake a lil later.
  17. I'm right behind you, mine is 11/30. Check out WalMart for best prices for Premier shakes. :)
  18. Electrolyte powders....I'll have to check that out.
  19. OK, funny question. How do you get that cute ruler looking thing that shows progress??
  20. I'm right there with you. But all will be fine. Do something that relaxes you...some deep breaths, music, a movie, a little outdoor time, something that can take your mind of the surgery, whatever works for you. .
  21. HI Snowcursed, Glad to hear you are doing so well. I haven't had my surgery yet, set for 11/30, and happy to hear of your success - gives me hope as i'm quite nervous. Walking and taking your sips on time, bravo for you!!! Gas in your shoulders? I'm confused about that. Why would you have gas in your shoulders? Keep up the good work and blessings on a steady recovery.
  22. Any, can I ask what hospital and who your doctor was for the prep and surgery? I was surprised to hear you say you didn't have a pre-op diet - so no liquid diet for a week or 2 before your surgery? A lil FYI: beware, this site is super pricey for the items you mentioned. Try WalMart online....same stuff for way cheaper!!! A 12-pack of Premier shakes is $25 compared to here at almost $40. Walmart also has a nice organic chicken bone brone broth, Pacific Foods. Important to follow pre and post surgery guidelines but we still need to watch our spending power too. I hope you are doing better.
  23. I finally tried the bone broth, Pacific Foods organic and unsalted. Ick!! I ended up adding garlic powder, pepper, and Turmeric. The soup tasted better when I dunked my grilled cheese sandwich in it. lolol. This 'liquid diet' is going to be rough.
