Hi, joannMarie we had surhery the same day. I had my first fil on the 7th it wasn't bad at all. Drank liquids that day was fine. The next day ate mushies and have had that pressure in my back. Its either swelling , eating to fast or too much. I think its operator error causing the problem but I'm going to figure it out. I can tell something is diffrent since the fill. Thats a good thing.

I can relate totally. The broken toilet seat a few. I was at a cook out ounce and started started to lean over to pick up my drink and kept right on going onto the ground because to folding chair leg bent. It took two guys to get me up, words can't even describe how I felt. I haven't been on a plane since I was 15 I just refuse to ask for a exstender and I'm about to be 39. However good times are ahead. I'm going to start making a list of all the things being Morbidly Obese has robbed me of and one by one I'm going to do them all !!!!!!!! The day is coming when I will not have to ask for a booth at a resturant. An amusement park wont be an issue, a all day shopping trip, a plane ride, a one size fit all piece of clothing, a folding chair, a chair with side arms. THE DAYS OF BEING DENIED WILL BE COMING TO A END. THANKS TO MY BAND!!!!

Hi, V-Queen I had surgery the same day. I don't have anything in my band and I'm hungry as hell that one cup of food is not getting it. I had a fill appointment on the same day also but moved it up a week hope my surgeon still gives me a fill I'm about to lose it. I need to feel some restriction so I'll at least know the band is really in there.:mad:

Well my liquid phase was 7days I only lasted 5. The I started testing the waters with soft and mushies very small amount. I was fine for about a week . Then tried a little chicken. All went well. If I eat a cup of food I'm hungry again in a hour it doesn't last long, so I do eat a little more. Struggling with getting my water in thats always been a problem but working on it. Still haven't had a fill thats in a few days and hopefully i can get some restriction and feel like i'm making process.:mad:

Hi tainabj, I had surgery on the 4th all went well came home the same day. I wasn't really in any pain just the gas pressure in my back for a few days. Getting up and down hurt a little at the port site but it really wasn't bad at all. Congradulations on your date . Dr. Steinburg has a support group at dekalb medical. Right now I'm struggling trying not to over eat before I get my 1st fill this is pure hell I'm hungry!:tongue_smilie:

Hi everyone my surgery was the 4th and I came home the same day. The gas pains in my back was awful the pain from the incisions didn't kick in till the next day.I guess the meds my surgeon injected in them was wearing off. I'm on protein shakes and one clear snack a day. It really seemed like a lot a first but after the second day I could feel hunger, I thought that was a little soon . I thought I wouldn't feel hungry till at least the 3rd week. My port site is sore and a little swollen. I still have 5 days before I return to work so hopefully I'll be good to go by then.

Hi Stewy929 and JoanMarie hours till our big day. Mine is at 8:30 first surgery of the day. I'm excited and want to get it over but scared at the same time. I'm just try to keep telling myself my life will be so much better for going through it. Don't plan on staying overnight if all goes well. All prayers are welcome!!

Hi, swiley I see your surgery is the day after mine and were both the same age with birthdays less than a week apart isn't that funny. What Dr. is doing your surgery, I signed my consent form today.

HI SGHATL I'm sorry it took me a couple of days to reply I'm kind of new to the site myself. Dr. Willam Johnson is doing my surgery and only 8 days away and my nerves are kicking in to over drive I'm excited and scared all at the same time:huh2:. What Dr. did you have.

I just saw the post too for the meeting in mcdonough. I've recently moved to this area. My surgery date is Dec.4th. starting to have a case of the nerves. Its really gonna happen.

Hi everyone, I'm riding that emotional rollar coaster too. The closer the date gets the worst I get the fear starts to set in. I have a friend that had it done 2yrs. ago and she says it no big deal. Thats coming from a former RN thats had serval surgeries over the years. I'm just not that brave, even though I know it will change my life for the better . Dec. 4th will be here before I know it I guess I'll just let go and let GOD.

My date is the 4th and the closer the date gets the more my nerves and taking over. I'm starting to get scared I guess realizing this is going to happen. My insurance sent me a certification letter for review and a week later the approval letter came , so don't get alarmed yours is on the way.

:smile2:Hi everyone I finnally got approved which didn't really take but two weeks ounce the insurance company receieved my paper work. A journey I started back in august. My surgery date is Dec. 4th too.
