Hi Molly It took me about a good 3 full weeks before I felt better I was like you loving that liquad Lortab :wink2: I was outta work a full month and Thank god because I was weak and still in pain from what Iam reading on here people go back to work 3 days after guess I was just a big old baby in pain !
  2. Hi Linda The 20lbs I lost is after surgery and 10lbs before surgery so Iam actually down 30lbs. I have/had sever astma about my only sickness and since the surgery Iam just about completly off all my astma meds which is a super plus
  3. How many fills have you had since being banded? I only have had 1 fill since my July surgery I go for my second fill in 2 weeks from what Iam hearing it takes a couple fills before feeling the restriction I know it gets discouraging but dont give up it gets better so thats what I hear :sad:
  4. Sharon Iam curious to know how much pain were you in once you got home from the hospital? I dont wanna sound like a big baby but it took me about a good 2 weeks before the pain went away,I guess we all heal differently .
  5. I have not yet attended a support group meeting but Iam considering going,do I need to RSVP or just show up? Your surgery will be just find for some reason I was'nt nervous at all the day of my surgery before I knew it I was in recovery I dont remeber much,first week at home was a littel rough I actually enjoyed being on the liquad diet I had a hard time going back to solid food,I still cant believe its over and done with the surgery was the easy part I think now is the hardest trying to eat right and excersise.

Iam doing good since surgery I have lost 20lbs its a slow process,I have gone for 1 fill so far I go for my 2nd in 2 weeks.Some days I can eat more then other days and some days I can eat very little its weird.I wish I would have known sooner about the Delaware park walk something I would have definatly been interested in Oh well summer is just about over will have to catch you guys next summer;-) My new dr is gonna be Dr Posner have'nt really met him yet but I do remeber him from the seminar and he seems very good.

Hi,Dont push yourself your body is still healing,I got my band on July 1,2008 I lost a total of 20lbs so far does'nt seem like much but Iam happy with it.I got my first fill on August 22,2008 think it takes a couple fills for that hungar to go away because Iam like you starting to feel really hungrey and cant understand why its discouraging some days.I go for my 2nd fill on Sept 22 hopefully then I will feel more restriction,good luck with your journey !
  8. Think I will be alright after my next fill which is in 2 weeks,if not I will be patient gotta get it right at some point;-)
  9. My next fill is in 2 weeks Sept 24th think my 1st fill was only 2 cc's (I think) I think I have 4 cc's all together still learning all this cc business !
  10. Iam so glad I found this site for a minute I thought I was doing something wrong but it seems like it is just a slow weight lose process I go for my 2nd fill in 2 weeks hoping that will get the ball rolling wish me luck and good luck to you !

  12. There are days when I can eat like normal well normal to me is like before the surgery and there are other days when everything makes me sick does that happen to you?

Hello my name is Jen I recently had the Lap band surgery at Bflo General hospital by Dr Forbes my surgery was July 1,2008 I have lost 18lbs,the weight is comming off very slow,I guess I expected to lose more in the beginning but by talking to different people I hear that it takes a few fills before you really start losing I sure hope so because some days are a little discouraging.
