  1. Val 3 cc's does sound like an awful lot does'nt it  I know I just got the fill today but I feel the restriction already,I had a little bit of broth and some water and hard to believe but Iam satisfied.
  2. Hello all I had my 2nd fill today I met Laurie for the first time she is the newer NP seemed very nice, anyways she gave me my fill at first she said she was giving me 2 cc's but ended up giving me 3 cc's she kept saying if I cant eat to call tomorrow and they will take some of my fill out my question is has anyone ever been "over filled" and had to get some taken out?
  3. Hi Molly It took me about a good 3 full weeks before I felt better I was like you loving that liquad Lortab :wink2: I was outta work a full month and Thank god because I was weak and still in pain from what Iam reading on here people go back to work 3 days after guess I was just a big old baby in pain !
  4. Hi Linda The 20lbs I lost is after surgery and 10lbs before surgery so Iam actually down 30lbs. I have/had sever astma about my only sickness and since the surgery Iam just about completly off all my astma meds which is a super plus
  5. Hello everyone Dont think Iam gonna make this Saturdays walk (its my son's 21st BDay this weekend and I have a million things to do) I do plan on being at the support group meeting on Weds so hope to see some of you there.
  6. How many fills have you had since being banded? I only have had 1 fill since my July surgery I go for my second fill in 2 weeks from what Iam hearing it takes a couple fills before feeling the restriction I know it gets discouraging but dont give up it gets better so thats what I hear
  7. Is it me or was the week before the surgery more stressful then the actual surgery? I was given the same run around about my white blood count being elevated, sent me back and forth for blood work which my blood work finally came back fine dr says I must have had some sort of infection I did'nt know about when I had my first blood work done. Then my primary MD thought she saw an abnormal EKG so I was sent for a stress test which came back ok then they thought they saw a lump on my lung when I had my CT so BFLO General sent me for a "stat" CT which came back fine and then to top everything off my Primary MD never sent over my medical clearance the day of my last visit before the sugery needless to say the week before the surgery between running back and forth to the drs and missing work Iam just glad its all over with.
  8. Sharon Iam curious to know how much pain were you in once you got home from the hospital? I dont wanna sound like a big baby but it took me about a good 2 weeks before the pain went away,I guess we all heal differently .
  9. Think I might just meet you guys there Saturday if the weather permits us to walk. Where excatly does everyone meet at and is there anyone else in the North Bflo area who is willing to walk or excerise more then just on Saturdays?
  10. I actually live in North Buffalo 5 minutes from Delaware park so no excuses why I could'nt walk with the group on Saturdays
  11. What about the support group meetings at BFLO General once a month have you been to any of those meeting? The next one is next Weds Sept.17 I was thinking about going.
  12. I have not yet attended a support group meeting but Iam considering going,do I need to RSVP or just show up? Your surgery will be just find for some reason I was'nt nervous at all the day of my surgery before I knew it I was in recovery I dont remeber much, first week at home was a littel rough I actually enjoyed being on the liquad diet I had a hard time going back to solid food,I still cant believe its over and done with the surgery was the easy part I think now is the hardest trying to eat right and excersise.
  13. Thank you glad I found this site,Dr Posner will be by doctor now I dont know much about him but Iam sure he is as good as the rest of the team. Wish I would have known about this site months ago would have enjoyed the Delaware park walk on Saturday mornings always next summer. I recently joined the gym does anyone else belong to a gym?.
