    A year later

  2. Don't be depressed. It will happen. I think I started out pretty slow at the beginning and then I really started losing. I had mine done in June of "06", by December I had lost around 45lbs. Total I have only lost 65lbs in two years but I don't drink water or exercise like I should. There a lot of people who have lost 100 or more pounds in less than a year. I could get depressed about that but I know I'm not doing all I can so I only have myself to blame. This might be a slow process but try thinking further down the road, where will you be two years from now? Even if two years down the road you've only lost half that you want to, where would you be if you had not got banded, probably even heavier. Try and keep your chin up, the best thing is to stay off the scales, thats what I did. You'll notice your clothes getting baggier and baggier, thats a much better feeling then getting on the scale because the scale is going to be depressing for a long time. Good luck and if you ever need to talk drop me a line.

Anyone in Pueblo, Colorado? Looking for buddies

Hello, I was banded two years ago. I have only lost 65lbs. I guess I thought two years after banded I would be skinny. No regrets, I'm glad to be down 65lbs. I couldn't have done it without the band. I have to put forth more effort on my part. It's not going to magically fall off. I thought getting banded was the easy way out, no more yo yo diets and the pounds would come off by themselves. Well it's taken two years to lose 65lbs so I know I'm going to have to get with the program and start exercising regulary if I want to lose more because I haven't lost much in the last year. My problem is I don't get hungry at all during the day, my first meal is usually dinner, then all the late night snacking. Although the amount of food I can eat isn't much, it's the time of day and what I'm eating. I was hoping to find some support on this site. You know, like someone to call or write to when you feel like eating at night when you shouldn't be, someone to tell you to find something else to do and not to pick up that fork. I don't know about everyone else but I still eat because I'm bored or just because I like to, not because I'm hungry. Well, I'm looking forward to meeting some people on here. Drop me a line

    Frustrated

I appreciate everyone's input. I know for sure I need to find time to exercise and as far as water goes, I don't ever drink it. I don't ever get thirsty I don't know how I don't get dehydrated. I am going to start drinking water today. Hit me up later to see if I'm following through. Thanks again to everyone who replied. Have a good day!

    Hungry at 4 pm?

Hello, this is a never ending guessing game. I had mine done two years ago. I stated out writing everything down, so I would know when I could eat, what I could eat, what would make me sick ect...All I know is, I don't get hungry in the mornings, I don't eat anything during the day (usually). If I do I usually throw up. There are some things I can eat just fine and other times the same thing will make me throw up. I have found that if my husband wants to go to dinner, we will go a couple days, or the day before if I calculate right, before my period starts. For some reason right before my period I can eat more than I should be able to, but if I were to try and eat the same amount after my period starts, forget it. I usually have to make myself throw up, I will be eating, slow and small bites, and I'll feel like it's in my throat and I get an instant headache, after I throw up it goes away. My frustration will this whole thing is it's been two years and I have only lost 65lbs. Although I don't exercise like I should and since I don't get hungry during the day, I always eat at night, and if it's been while since I have actually been able to eat anything good without throwing up, I find myself eating all the wrong things because I can, like chips and dip, popcorn or candy. I was hoping to to get on this site and find like buddy support. Well good look with your success.

    Frustrated

This is my first time on this site. I'm truely frustrated. I was banded in June of "06" and as of today I have only lost 65lbs. I lost 50 of that in my first 6 months. The last time I went in for a fill he took some out instead. I went in because I felt like I could eat too much, when he asked what I was eating he said my band was too tight and I was eating the things I was eating because I could. I did go back and get a fill but now I feel like I have to lie about what I'm eating because I'm afraid he might loosen my band again. I know what my problem is, I eat candy (usually only a couple time a month) or other things I can eat that I shouldn't be eating because most things make me throw up. I don't hardly ever feel hungry, I just eat because I like to. If anyone has any suggestions for me I would appreciate anyone's input.
