  1. I have had both and much prefer the Fluro Fill! I've had only two fills since my surgery Aug.18th. My first fill, was with a Fluro fill / xray machine. The doc poked once, put in the fill and that was that! My second fill was this week without being a Fluro xray machine. The doc. had a difficult time finding the opening to my port. On at least the 10th poke (no kidding) he was able to give me a fill. Because of the anesthetic, it really was not painful, honestly, just uncomfortable knowing he was having a difficult time. I would not make a decision to NOT go to a doc. without the Fluro machine. It was interesting seeing the band working with the Fluro machine.
  2. WOW... I'm so excited for you. Congratulations! :bolt:
  3. I'm 4 weeks out and can still eat as if I did not have the surgery! But, in the past two days, I have the pressure between by breasts and a lump in my throat. I have been drinking and eating together - because I never felt any restriction to this point. Why do you think all of a sudden I'm feeling the pressure. Could I finally feeling some restriction?? Nervous, I'm feeling like my band slip - maybe worrying myself to much?
  4. I just finished reading a wonderful book titled: Same Kind Difference of Me, by Ron Hall. A beautiful true story of a wealthy Christian woman meeting a homeless man while volunteering at the Gospel Mission in Fort Worth. The homeless man becomes friends with she and her husband. Has a sad ending but such a wonderful story about their faith in Our Lord. Highly recommenced. I could not put it down and read it in one day.
  5. I'm saying a prayer for you!
  6. I'm too, am in tears. I was banded 4 weeks ago and was doing great. Didn't feel any restriction but told that was normal due to not having a fill yet. Last night I woke up feeling uncomfortable and if I had food in my throat. I started eating solids at the end of three weeks and was eating as before the surgery. I'm thinking my band slipped. I'm so scared. I too, was a self pay and I'm so despondent about not being compliant and what if I need surgery again. I'm praying that this is not a slippage but natural feeling???
