  1. It is great to hear all of these success stories. I had surgery 10/6/2008 and since surgery I have lost 68 lbs I just had a fill 2 weeks ago and I think I am at the perfect spot. I have started loosing again. I too am off all my medications now as of last week. No more diabetes and high blood pressure medications. This was the best decision I have made for myself. There have been times it has not been easy but well worth the struggles. It is amazing what you can learn about yourself through this process.
  2. I want to say thank you to everyone for you words of encourgement. I am gonig to spend this time getting my weight off and yes it will be his loss and not mine.
  3. Hello everyone, I was banded this past Monday and I am feeling much better today physically but emotionally have gone downhill. I got a text message from by boyfriend this morning telling me he wants to break up and that he has meet someone new. This came as a total shock due to he has been calling me every day since surgery and sent me the most wonderful flowers on Monday when I was in the hospital. He has been telling me how much he loves me. I tried to call him but he won’t take my calls I am so shocked and don't know what to think I thought he was on board with me through the surgery and weight loss process. I need to share my story because I don’t know who else to tell how much I am hurting.
  4. Hello everyone, My name is Teena and I live in Florida. I have been overweight since elementary school. I have done every diet there is some more than once. I have lost wait only to gain it back plus more. At my highest weight I was at 325lbs. After I was divorced 2 years ago I was able to get down to 260 lbs which is where I am stuck at now. I have been thinking about doing WLS for years the first time I tired my insurance would not approve me (this was 4 years ago). Since then my insurance has changed. So this year on my Birthday 6/12 There was a meeting at the local hospital for those who were interested in having WLS so I went (this way my birthday present to myself). I have now been approved for surgery on Oct 6th. I am very excited and also a little scared. I wish everyone luck on their journey.
  5. Good Luck today, my prayers are with you.
  6. I have BCBS of MASS. I did not have to do the 6 months pre diet. I was approved in less then two weeks after my Dr submitted the paperwork to my insurance. I was also asked by my surgeon if I have done the 6 months supervised diet and I told them no that my insurnace does not require it. I now have a surgery date of 10/6 good luck
  7. Don't beat yourself up that will only make it worse. Just make the decision that today is a new day and you are going to get back on track. I wish you the best of luck.
  8. I am scheduled for sugery on October 6th. I cant wait, it is all I think about. I having been going through the process since June 12th and it is hard to beleive that I am so close now. I just received insurance approval this past Monday.
