  1. I am wearing socks at home. I never used to wear socks to sleep but it’s a must now. I can’t seem to keep warm.
  2. Doctor says it’s in normal range. I’m taking iron + b12 supps and it hasn’t helped.
  3. Im almost a year in from my surgery and lost 100 pounds almost. Anyone experience feeling cold all the time? I’ve never had this issue before surgery. My surgeon says my vitals are normal. It’s 75 outside and I’m freezing in my apartment.
  4. I went on vacation last month. Eating out was a struggle. I haven’t made my surgery public to a lot of my friends. I can never finish my entree. I usually order fish as the portion is a lot smaller. Eating protein first then the carbs last. I still feel very bad for throwing away half my plate. Skip the appetizers lol.
  5. I’ve had mine on May 3rd. Best decision ever. I’ve been at my lowest weight in almost 10 years. Around the 5 month mark, Ive plateau. I’m still dropping some weight but a lot slower than I want. Hopefully the next 5 months, I’ll reach my goal weight.
  6. Congrats. I’m hoping my bmi will be below 30 by my one year mark.
  7. I’m wondering how everyone is tracking at their 6 month mark. I had my surgery May 3rd this year. My starting weight before pre surgery diet was 309. I’m at 233 as of today and hopefully I’ll get to 225 by 11/3 I was hoping to reach 200 by the end of the year but I don’t think it’s possible. My goal weight is 160.
  8. Avoided any tv with commercials and hid all social media feeds showcasing foods Lolol. It got better after about day 5 for me.
  9. Thanks for the tips. I have the gastric sleeve and will work on habits to drink more throughout the day. It just slips my mind when I’m busy with work
  10. I’m about 10 weeks post surgery. At what point can you drink liquids with food? With the summer being here, after I come back for a walk, I’d like to drink some water and heat up dinner. Pretty frustrating I have to wait 30-45 minutes before I can eat and it’s already a long work day.
  11. I am 7 weeks post opt and have most restrictions removed with the exception of bread/ rice / beef/ pork. I’m worried about stretching my stomach. Around how much lean protein are you having per meal along with carb/veg? Anyone get weight loss stalls at this stage? I notice the scale has barely moved the last 10 days.
  12. You be look amazing. Congrats!
  13. Thanks for explaining. I’ll try not to take ibu. Hopefully it gets better in the next 2 weeks. I bought a compression tank and it seems to minimize the pain when walking or getting up.
  14. I’m 2 weeks out as well and yes I have the stinging feeling near my belly button. The NP said it’s from swelling and advice I take ibuprofen 4 hrs apart from Tylenol.
  15. Wow ! Congrats ! I’m almost 2 weeks post surgery and still bloating and haven’t lost any weight since surgery. Hopefully I’ll finally drop some in the next 2 weeks
  16. I’m day 10 days post op and lost around 20lbs since the liquid pre-op diet. My weight loss has stalled since surgery. I’m only down 3lbs in 10 days. Hopefully the scale moves in another 2 weeks. I’m barely finishing 2 premier shakes and bone broth.
  17. Called the surgeon office and they gave me some antibiotics. They think it’s strep, but I haven’t been near anyone.
  18. I had the gastric sleeve and hernia repair done in one procedure. I’m day 5 post surgery and still have a sore throat and it’s still painful to drink liquids and chew vitamins. Anyone experience this ?
  19. Nice progress! I’m hoping this coming week goes by quick.
  20. I had my sleeve surgery done late Wednesday and still feeling a lot of pain despite being on opioids. When can I expect the pain to go away? I gained about 5lbs of water weight since surgery. Hoping the swelling will go down. At what day could you comfortable do a 10-15 walk? Walking still seems really painful now
  21. Thanks for posting this. I recall being told this. Wondering if we need to be on a reduced oxiate diet ? That’s pretty rough. My surgery is in a few days and I’m having doubts.
  22. I can have up to 1000 calories a day. Depending on the shake brand, it’s 5 or 6 shakes a day. I’m currently drink the premier protein shakes that are 160 calories a serving. 30 calories from snacks which can be sugar free jello or low sodium chicken broth. I’m also allowed 2 cups of non starchy veggies with 2 tbsp of fat free dressing or vinegar. Been fortunate that I’m at least allowed to eat some solid food versus full liquids
  23. I’m 6 days into my 14 day liquid diet. The first 3 days were bad. It’s definitely gotten easier. I been averaging 5 premier shakes and try to drink at least 3-4 cups of water along with 2 cups of chicken broth. I’m having a hard time sleeping because all this liquid is making me use the restroom every 2hrs. I tried to finish shakes + dinner by 9-10p and still wake up from my exploding bladder.
  24. Day 2 of liquid pre opt diet. It’s rough.
