  1. Hi, My name is Laurie and I live in Everett,WA. I would love to talk with you and give you whatever support I can. I have had my band since Aug '08 and have lost 37 pounds. Let me know if you want to chat!! Laurie
  2. Hi all, Major question here. I had my band (realize) in Aug '08 and have lost like 37 pounds. I'm pretty happy with it and enjoying the weightloss. Anyway-I am sooo cold! I have always been a little on the cold side, but this winter it seems so much worse. I have had to turn the thermostat up to almost 80 to be comfortable. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or if it's just me. I have never had thyriod problems, so I don't think that's it. Being heavy, I have been watching that. Any suggestions very, VERY welcome!! Laurie
  3. Hi, Has anyone heard of doctors doing a lapband on anyone who has had a gastric bypass? I came across an ad for it in Mexico. I was thinking it would be kinda hard because of not much stomach left. I have a band-3 weeks into it. But i have an aunt and cousin who have had a bypass and I'm curious! Any info out there?? Thanks, Laurie
  4. I'm starting to get a little worried about my first fill. I am feeling restriction already. I was banded on Aug. 13. My first fill is next week. I did go through a period of hunger and way to much eating when I went on mushies, tho I was also on my time of the month. Now I just feel full when I eat-most of the time. I am a little worried that maybe I've slipped already? Anyway, I am feeling fullness already. Am I abnormal? Laurie
  5. Hi, I was banded with the Realise band on Aug 13, 2008. I was thrilled to see a thread here for this band. I was worried I was on the wrong site. I go for my first fill next week. I'm a little nervous, but excited. I am loosing a little right now, but am feeling hunger more than I thought I should. I am trying hard not to snack, but it's really hard!! Well, wish me luck!! Laurie
  6. Hi all, Just wanted to say hi. I just joined. I was banded on Aug. 13, and I feel great. I have lost 11 pounds since starting at the Northwest Weightloss Clinic in Everett, WA. That includes my pre-op weightloss. I am awaiting my first fill on Sept 10, which I need to reschedule because of going back to work. I am hoping to get it done earlier. I am hungry, and feel like I'm eating to much right now. But I am maintaining my weight loss, so I guess that's not that bad. At least I haven't gained. But I am feeling hunger alot more than I thought I would. OK-well, hello and I look forward to meeting new people!! Laurie
