lapband with gastric bypass?

Hi,

Has anyone heard of doctors doing a lapband on anyone who has had a gastric bypass? I came across an ad for it in Mexico. I was thinking it would be kinda hard because of not much stomach left.

I have a band-3 weeks into it. But i have an aunt and cousin who have had a bypass and I'm curious!

Any info out there??

    yes I've heard of it. It's becoming more common, as I understand it, because over time their "pouch" stretches (that's how so many GBS patients who regain their lost weight are ABLE to regain it) and they have no more restriction. Where we can always go get a fill, they are stuck with one size fits all. And the pouch does stretch quite a bit over time!

    My best friend is getting ready to have it done soon. She asked the surgeon and he said yes...he would recommend it and do it.
