I’m telling NO one- flying off one weekend and coming back alone to start the hard work. I may say something like im working with a doctor… but that’s it. People can suck it. It’s my business alone.

Great thanks — im specifically asking NOT to be put on any narcotics, they make me really sick. I think i should be okay to drive the 30 mins home from airport then, and if not, I can get an Uber. Appreciate the reply!

When did you drive after your VSG? I need to get myself home from airport after 4 days— is this reasonable? I drove the 2nd day after my laparoscopic hysterectomy in November…I hate pain meds, so nothing more than ibuprofen really on board.

I’m with you. I dont plan on telling ANYONE about my surgery because im so tired of the same behaviors when i would lose or gain in the past— oh you’re doing XX diet? That is so bad for you, etc…I’m going to say i just started working with a doctor and focusing more on my health, not the weight. Not sure how i will explain the smaller meals, but ill work around it when it comes.

My date is March 1, and I dont have to start liquid diet until afterwards. Just low carb/no sugar one week out, although I’ve already started as a way to get my head in the game and stay invested. Good luck to all!

Thank you for reply- I had the same issue—found lots of good things about Maytorena, nothing about other. I looked at years of practice and type of surgery they are expertise in, and have decided on Maytorena. Appreciate the support!

Any experience or reviews on either Dr Mayortena or Dr Pablo Fok Russell appreciated— I have narrowed it down to these two doctors in tJ and would love any feedback. Looking at gastric sleeve- BMI 37. Thank you!
