  1. What Spell Checker do you use? I had to restore my PC and lost my Spell Checker. For everyone on LBT's sake I need a spell checker ASAP... Can't spell worth a ding dang! Thank you
  2. C182 (-37 lbs total, -2 this week) Got first fill yesterday 1.1 cc in a 9.75 band. Great news! My daughter will be banded on May 16th!:clap2:
  3. Capital One has cosmetic surgery credit. Check your Doctor's office to see what plans they accept. My daughter called Capital One today to see if they would give her a $15,000.00 loan for her lapbad. They took her info and said to call back in 2 hours. 2 hours later she was approved at the terms and interest rate she wanted. She called the Doctor and scheduled her surgery for 3 weeks from today.
  4. First fill today. Did not hurt at all! Felt like she was pushing on my tummy with her finger. My port was a lot lower then I thought it was. She put this butterfly looking thing attached to a needle in my port, then had me go to the xray machine with it still in. She put 2cc in first, then backed down to 1.5cc. She took out the needle and had me drink water. The water didn't go down, so she put the needle back in and backed me down a few times drinking water. 1.1cc was the majic number. She then took the needle out again. I never felt the needle through all of this! She said I would probably need another fill in 3 weeks because the band would obsorbe some of the water.
  5. Didn't work. Only thing I was able to do was attach the table as a word document that had to be opened to view. ABCD.doc
  6. I didn't eat or drink before going. The nurse said I was correct not to eat or drink.
  7. My fill is at 11:00am. Should I not eat or drink before then? I only took my meds this morning with a small sip of water.
  8. My morning ritual is Atkins shake when I first get up, then 30 minutes later I have Weight Control Oatmeal. (I love me some oatmeal!)
  9. Nothing to drink 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after. I thought this would be the hardest thing for me to do, but eating slow and chewing well is harder then not drinking.
  10. Sheryl, After your fill, do you go back to liquids for 3 days, mushies 3 days, semi-solids for 3 day. I think I read that from another post. I go to the Surgicenter in Houston tomorrow for my fill. A PA there does all the fills.
  11. I'm 6 weeks post op. I am scared to try bread or anything not covered in sauce. I haven't tried leatuce yet. I have PBed on eggs, cottage cheese, and cod fish (too dry). My band let's me know it's presence most all the time! Usually GAS after eating or drinking, and strange gurgly rumble when I haven't eaten in awhile. If this sounds like a complaint, I really like the way the band keeps me from eating any and every thing. I rarely feell hungry, and I fiil-up very quickly. The only cravings I had (head cravings) were for creamed spinach and cheese enchiladas. I had spinach at week 4 and enchilada on Saturday. I don't crave anything now. I keep track of what I eat, calories, Fiber, and Protein only because I wasn't eating enough and was starting to feel run-down. I get my first fill tomorrow. I have to admit that I am a little nervous about the fill. I hope I don't PB alot after the fill.
  12. It will feel a lot better when the staples come out! I had staples in my foot from foot surgery. Those darn staples irriatated me just like yours. I thought it look like Frankenstein, and it would look hideous the rest of my life! My foot surgery was 3 years ago... you can barely see my scar now...Thank God. Used Vitamin E oil like the Doc said to.. had to wait awhile first.
  13. I heard you could litter box train a bunny. Is this true... how do you get started?
  14. Milk of Magnesia works great for the constipation. Don't take the whole does the first time like I did... was up all night going to the bathroom. !/2 the dose works just fine for me. I take it about once a week. My first fill is tomorrow.
  15. Nike Walking Shoes, take out the insert it comes with and buy the thicker one they sell in the shoes store... I think it is green.
  16. Sunday - Breakfast - Atkins Shake Lunch - Oatmeal Applesauce Cottage Cheese Dinner - Chicken Enchilada Caserole Green Beans Snack - SF Popsicle Yogurt Pudding I got the Chicken Enchilada Caserole recipe from my mom. First time I made it. It makes 8 servings 330 calories...I could only eat 1/2 a serving. Let me know if you want the recipe.
  17. NancySmiles, I will be 6 weeks Post Op and getting my first fill on Tuesday. I have found that I can eat no more then 2 cups per meal. After my fill, I will have to see if I am full on less. My calorie intake per day now is between 1000 - 1200 calories per day.
  18. Good for you Christy! Your doctor appointment is the same day as my first fill. I hope you get approved quickly, and you become a loser like me!
  19. Centrum Chewables & Flinstone Complete are both good choices in Vitamins. I crush my solid pill meds & float my capsules until soft to take. I have not had any problems.
  20. Saturday - Mexican Food at Last! B - Atkins Shake S - Oatmel L - One cheese enchilada, ate 3/4 of it Salsa no chips guacamole, ate 1/2 serving Refried Beans - Too full couldn't eat so I am having them for dinner
  21. K@t your pre-op diet is different then mine was. I had 2 protein shakes a day and one meal of lean meat and green veggies. Of course my choice of lean meat is beef! This explains why I was not still starving on the 4th day. Try your best to stick to the diet! My best friend was on the diet 2 days less then 2 weeks and her surgeon said her liver was almost too big for him to be able to do the surgery. He said 2 more days would have made a huge difference. I stuck to my 2 whold weeks and my doctor said my liver looked great.
  22. I had one today. I went for my annual mamogram. On the paper work they ask if you have gained or lost more then 10 pounds in the last year. So naturally I put yes. When I was finally led in to the torture chamber, the technician was going over my paperwork and ask if I had lost or gained. I told her I had lost 23 pounds. She ask me how. I figured she would see my scars anyway, so I told her I had lapband surgery. She said really! She then told me she had her stomach stapled like 20 years ago, and how awful the experience was and showed me her hidious scar. She also told me a coworker died from the stomach stapling. She didn't know anything about lapband, so I told her everything I knew plus I told her about the wonderful support network of lapband talk. She said she wished it was around when she had hers. Next thing I know she was leading me out of the room back to the lockers. She hugged me and said I probably won't recognize you next time you come in. It was so sweet and special...then I realized...I just had a mamogram and didn't feel a thing!

  24. I use Arbonne switched from Mary Kay. I was allergic to some of the Mary Kay anti-aging products, so I couldn't use all the set. My sister-in-law started selling Arbonne. She let's me buy at her discount which is usually 30% off, but sometimes I can get it 50% off. I love it! I am not allergic to any of it! I tryed it out before buying, she sent me the travel pack. The travel pack is $45 for the Anti-aging products. I lot of people tell me my face looks a lot healthier!
  25. Friday B - Atkins Shake S - Oatmeal L - Lunch with my Hubby at La Madeline's Tuna Salad with Fresh Strawberries Yummy D - Turkey Chili
