  1. Thank you so much! I can't wait! Best wishes for yours as well!
  2. RNY tomorrow, the 25th! I can't believe it's finally happening!
  3. Happy birthday from me too! RNY April 25th for me too!
  4. Me too! I'm having RNY. I'm excited! Good luck to you!
  5. Good luck! I know it's a lot of work and it seems to take forever to get a date for surgery but you will. Enjoy the journey. You will learn so much about yourself in the process.
  6. Drink Gatorade Zero. Your electrolytes may be off.
  7. Congratulations! Sending well wishes for a gentle surgery and quick recovery!
  8. Thank you so much! I can't wait for this new chapter!
  9. Anyone scheduled for April 25th? I'm SOOOOO excited!
  10. You have got your ducks in a row. I think it helps us to feel like we have some control over the situation when we can do these things. Congratulations on the steps of your journey. May our waits be short!
  11. I started the Seattle Sutton Healthy Eating program. I thought I was eating lightly but after beginning this program with portion sized meals, I have definitely realized that I wasn't. I've only lost 18 lbs since my first weigh in. I did lose 3 this week though. Congratulations on your successes. You should be so proud of yourself!
  12. Wow. Having surgery during the pandemic must have been challenging. I do notice that I'm in a nesting pattern so I smiled when I read that you were too. I'm a 2nd grade teacher and I hope to get back to work after 2 weeks. I'm extremely hopeful that I will be able to. Reading the forums definitely helps as I try to distract myself. Congratulations on your progress. Thank you for your reply.
  13. Congratulations on your date! Sending positive thoughts for a smooth, successful surgery and recovery. I have an upper endoscopy on Wednesday, when my surgeon will look at my hiatal hernia and ulcer which he will fix during my RYN when it is scheduled. But, he will cut some polyps off on Thursday so I will be on a liquid diet Thursday and Greek yogurt for two weeks afterward so I feel you. You have a scheduled date! That's exciting!
  14. Thanks. That gives me hope. I appreciate your reply.
  15. Wow! You are a Rockstar! I hope to be as successful. I'd love to be able to swim but I live in a rural community with no local pool. Congratulations on your successes and thank you for the tips!
  16. How exciting! Congratulations and well-wishes to you!
  17. Aww. I have a hiatal hernia as well that my surgeon will fix whenever I finally get a surgery date. I hope this is the last for you.
  18. I'm still working on pre-op stuff. I'm told that it will likely be February before I have surgery. Any recommendations in the meantime? I'm currently doing 1200 calories and 1 hour of cardio, 5 days per week. How do I keep my sanity until then? I'm really impatient about the wait.
