Violet_ got a reaction from SuziDavis in August surgery buddies!Congratulations! I've also noticed all my shoes were loose which I thought was strange. Glad to know I'm not the only one. I didn't even think losing weight in your feet was a thing lol.

Violet_ got a reaction from Sunnyer in August surgery buddies! How is everyone doing? I've been slipping back into some old bad habits, but trying to get back on track. I've been sitting at about an 85 lb loss for a few months and am pretty happy with where I am. I would like to kick it up a notch and start some weight training to feel stronger. Here's my progress so far. The first pic is 36 lbs down before surgery, 2nd photo is now at 85 lbs down.

Violet_ reacted to SHORTY_ in August surgery buddies! That's awesome ladies, congrats! I'm sitting at 85 lbs down right now. I stall out a lot but try not to beat myself up over it. My weight doesn't go up, so I consider it a win. I'm working out, and eating right and I feel like I have formed a healthy relationship with food & exercise. If you're looking for some at-home workouts I recommend Kayla Itsines' workouts. You can just search them on Pinterest for free and it all can be done at home. I have used this body guide on and off for years and I always have had success with it.

Violet_ reacted to karakent in August surgery buddies!Hey Buddies! Today makes 5 months for me! I was sleeved 8/22:) Thought I would post my progress.
Today I’m down 71lbs from my pre-surgery weight. I’ve also lost a total of 45 inches all around. Including 11 inches around my waist! Can you believe it?! I am so glad I decided to track that along with my weight. ?
I rewarded myself with an exercise bike!! Lol.
On Friday I had jeans and a t-shirt on and the difference must be telling because lots of people commented on my weight loss. But more importantly I noticed I was once again sitting cross legged without even thinking about it. I don’t even know how long I’ve been doing it,? but I was pretty damn excited.

Violet_ reacted to LibbyAbby in August surgery buddies!Congratulations! You look fabulous. I too seem to be falling into my old habits. Snacking snacking snacking. I am trying to snack on healthier foods, but I don't want to get back into the habit of always eating all the time. I've noticed I'm able to eat more food at a time, but I usually can stop at a reasonable amount during meals. My issue is between meals. I want to just pop things in my mouth every chance I get. I'm down 65 lbs and I'm so happy, but I am afraid I'll be back to my old weight in no time if I don't quit this snacking!

Violet_ reacted to SuziDavis in August surgery buddies!I drink my protein with my coffee everyday. I love my cold brew so that is what I mix it with.
I use the Level-1 Meal Replacement shakes from here... https://1stphorm.com/collections/protein
They actually taste amazing too.
And yeah, I used to drink a gallon a day, ad now I can't. I don't really like flavored water too much either, so I just do the best I can.

I have been trying to lose weight, quite literally, my entire life. My earliest memories are of being uncomfortable, knowing I was in a bigger body than I "should" have been. I tried and failed at every diet, and consulted with 3 other surgeons over the course of a decade before I finally committed and had surgery. I went to therapy, read the books, stuck to the plan, fell off the plan. got back on, cried, rejoiced, and everything in between. And today, I hit my "goal" weight. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't elated to see that long desired number. It was overwhelming and thrilling. But truly, even more than any number, is the life I've gained, the love for myself that I've learned to cultivate, the life changing decision to care for myself well and no longer allow myself to be at war with this one precious body I have.
As so many WLS patients say, I just wish I had done it sooner.
I'm rooting for each and everyone of you as well. ?

Violet_ got a reaction from I Am Enough! in August surgery buddies!I've been doing pretty well. My stall is finally over. I was stuck at the same weight for about 3 weeks, now it is falling off. I'm down 30 lbs since surgery and 53 lbs total. I have had some issues with constipation and my hair has been falling out (which I don't have much to spare anyway because of the alopecia from PCOS). My knees haven't hurt at all and we are going to Disney next month. I am still dreading fitting into the rides, but I'm hoping it goes well. I was pulled aside in front of everyone in line to get checked in a test seat to see if I fit last time we went to Universal. Everyone was watching, and it was super embarrassing. I don't want to go through that again.
