  1. I am on soft foods but have been doing well. I couldn't eat much today but I made eggs with chorizo and just gave it a small try, it didn't sit well, didn't matter how many times I chewed it. I find it so weird. Some days I am good to eat, others I can barely eat anything. I wonder if my nerves are repairing, and I am starting to feel it more. I literally had about 2 tbsp of liquidy cream of wheat today and about a half an egg. Other days I am much better. Drinking plenty of protein water and taking frog fuel.
  2. My nutritionist was okay with it. I know most average about 5-600 calories now, but I can get up to 7-800. He said that the goal for me by month six is 1200. I don't know if that is going to be possible, but he wasn't too worried.
  3. BTW, your stats are incredible. Congratulations!
  4. I spoke with my nutritionist, and he looked over my tracking and was fine with it. I will say though I am not able to eat much today. I am glad I had him look it over because he did recommend one thing off topic.
  5. I purchased some keto cookbooks like southern keto by Natasha and keto comfort food. I made the soups and pureed them down. I had no issue. This was closer to my soft food stage though.
  6. I am a little over 3 weeks out of the sleeve and I am worried that my serving sizes are two big. Should I be able to eat two over easy eggs this early without an issue? I am losing weight. I just don't want to make myself sick. I am in the soft food stage.
  7. Very normal. I didn't get out of bed for four days except to walk to the bathroom and shower.
  8. I had surgery on the 12th and towards the end of my second week I started to gain a few pounds. It is off again now. I think that are body was just healing and hydrating. I have heard about the dreaded 3 week stall from many, but I was still shook when it happened.
  9. I hit the three-week stall at 2 weeks. Mainly because my body was taking Water back in after being dehydrated and recovering. I hit 3 weeks yesterday and the scale is going down again. I started weighing myself every day, but I am learning to let go and not do that every day. I think I am going to weight once or twice a week at specific times of day. I went crazy worried that this wasn't going to work, but it is and I am so glad I had the surgery.
  10. I found a great article on calories here but will double check with doctor. How Many Calories Should I Eat After Gastric Sleeve: A Quick Guide (drjalil.com)
  11. That is where I have been too. 800, if I get through all of it today is a huge jump.
  12. That is just it, I have no idea what my calorie goals are supposed to be. I use myfitnesspal and I am super under but for some reason I thought I was supposed to be between 5-600 right now.
  13. I don't know how many of you are in your third week, but I am concerned about my calories. My doctor has us do 3 meals and 3 snacks. Shooting for 60 grams of protein and 64 oz of water. I have no problem with the protein. I make a lot of keto soups and blend them down. I am concerned in the calories. I was hovering around 5-600 calories. Today if I eat everything, I wrote I should end up around 800. I couldn't believe it. I have not had any issues with food until yesterday. I am in my soft food stage and yesterday I had a few of Russel's sugar free chocolate. My TOM started yesterday, and I think I was just craving. That did not sit well at all. So, no more off that. Where are you all at in terms of calories?
  14. Right away. The day I got home. I take a multi-vitamin, biotin and Calcium Citrate.
  15. I am still struggling almost 3 weeks out, but it does get better each day. I supplement with protein gel.
  16. Is anyone else having trouble sleeping. I am almost 3 weeks out and my sleep is horrible. I never had insomnia before.
  17. You will work on changing your relationship with food. You don't have to give everything up, just moderation. If you are on day one, I am so impressed. I was a mess my first three days.
  18. It may be hard on your stomach, but I don't think that is a bad cheat.
  19. Did you just have surgery yesterday?
  20. Food is such an integral part of who we are. I teach cooking classes, etc. I decided I was going to prepare for this and bought several keto cookbooks and I am already planning menus and cooking out of them. Who says we can't enjoy food while on this journey? The head hunger is real though, you are not alone.
  21. I was fortunate. Liquid for a week, pureed for five days, today started soft foods (although I started it yesterday). I am sick today though. I don't think it is surgery related but not sure.
  22. My surgery was 9/12, so 10 days before yours. My energy comes and goes. I do notice that it is getting better every day.
  23. I can have it, I just didn't like the way it tasted.
