  4. Today is 8 months since surgery. I am hovering at my goal weight which I hit 3 days ago. I have gone from size 16-18 to 4-6. I am beyond psyched. I celebrated by buying my first pair of running shoes, so that's the next thing. I already have a date for a tummy tuck in August. Hope everyone is doing well!

  7. I've list at least half of my hair, maybe more. The loss has slowed down, now have these weird little hairs (someone said chicken hairs, I like that). I think I'm going to cut it short, look at wigs.
  8. So happy for you! It must have been so hard for you.

  11. Oh, yes, that's a big day! I'm getting close to healthy BMI but now it's really crawling by slowly.

  15. Hi, 5 months today! I've lost 55 pounds,18 to go. I ve tracking everything every day, but gotten a little lazy about it in the last week, so I need to get back on it. Do you realize that every new person we meet won't have known us as fat? That sorta blows my mind.
  16. Yes, that was a big deal to me to be just overweight! Obese is just such an ugly word.
  17. My goal was to lose 63 pounds in the first year, but I've already lost 54. I'm 8 pounds away from getting into the healthy BMI range. (I should tell you I'm 5'2" and a small frame, my surgery weight was 198.) It's slowing down but not stopping, like 10ths of pounds at a time. I'd like to eventually lose about 20 pounds from where I am now. It blows me away that if you met me now you would just see me as an average woman who could lose a few pounds, but certainly not as an obese or even particularly overweight person.
  18. I'm trying to look at it like this: I may be stalled, but on the other hand I made it through all the holidays without gaining, I'm actually a couple of pounds down from before Thanksgiving. Now when in my life have I ever done that? Here's to a great New Year for all of us! We have taken such a giant step towards our health goals this year. Think of where we all were last year at this time! Best to all of you ❤.
  19. You're doing great! Someone who hadn't seen me for quite awhile honestly thought my husband had a new wife (I also grew my hair longer. ) Good thing they caught on before they started criticizing the old wife!
  20. That's just great! Every week I take some more clothes to the thrift shop, and that continues even during a stall (like the last two weeks). And you're in the 100 club, too. Congrats!
  21. I doubt it. Do your best. This will change after surgery as the amount you can take in goes WAY down and your cravings will likely disappear.
  22. I don't have a smart watch yet but I think I'm getting one for Christmas. Meanwhile, is it possible to set up a small group for those of us here that are willing to share in some way?
  23. Good for you! That's quite a milestone. I've lost nearly 40, it seems to follow 5 pounds, then a stall, repeat. I'd like to have lost more, but I don't have as much to lose as many people, so I have to factor that in.
  24. I'm starting, too. Not in clumps but a lot in my brush.
