  1. Yes, but you made it through most of bandster hell AND lost weight....not everybody (ME!!!) loses weight, so you have done well. Keep doing what you are doing and the pounds will come off. Slowly is healthy!!!
  2. OMG. Laura, you look absolutely fabulous. It was a hoot to have that preop tummy shot suddenly in Queue with the recovery shot. What a great reminder of how far you have come. I hope mine comes out half as good!!!! Not that I have a date yet, still have 10 more pounds to lose. Mimi
  3. I take Effexor XR and Abilify and don't feel like it has had an impact on my lap band journey. You are on a small dose of Zoloft, relatively speaking and should do just fine. Mimi
  4. Great ideas, Kristine and thank you very much. Liquids are definately in my future, but I am sooo hungry!!!! Best wishes, Mimi
  5. Very good and informative post, Jodi. I just started Biotin myself and now I know not to look for improvements for 3 months. Mimi
  6. Thank you, Josie, I will go really slow!!!!! Mimi
  7. I kept the broth down, thank you very much, and since then have kept down 2 protein drinks and my beloved coffee. Going w/o my coffee was a big worry for me, LOL, as I am addicted big time. I am starving for food, but am going to stay on liquids today and most of tomorrow and then go to mushies. I will never be w/o liquid Ibuprofen again!! And no more tough stringy albeit yummy meat for me!!!! Mimi
  8. I don't know what your doctor's progression schedule was, but when in doubt contact him or the nutritionist. I would think you are ready to fly free. Let us know how you do. Mimi
  9. Every fill is a new experience in adjusting to a smaller amount of food. Sometimes I do better than others at adjusting, but your new little stomach will let you know it has changed, that's for sure. Best wishes, Mimi
  10. You all are such lovely caring ppl.. I tried all of your suggestions and went to bed, Woke up with reflux a few times, but not too bad. I am drinking my fist cup of boullian (sp) and am hopeful it will stay down. I promise to go to the doc today if I don't get enough in to make me tinkle. I will deal with his attitude later if necessary. Thanks to you all, and I hope you all have a great day. Mimi
  11. Mine took a good 4 weeks to get completely non tender, Good luck. Mimi
  12. I am off my 2 BP meds, my blood sugar level has come down to normal, and I was able to stop one of my antidepressant meds.....YIPPEE for the band!! Mimi
  13. Thanks, Josie. I will take your advice. I was sitting here stewing and meditating on what else to try.....the answer just might be "NOTHING!!!!!!" I am so dad blamed hungry, though, it is making my anxiety worse!!!! I wish it was bedtime!!!!!!!! I hope I wake up and it is all better like yours. Thanks, again. Mimi
  14. Dear, you have been through it!!! Good luck with choosing a surgeon. I am sorry you can't have who you really want, but maybe the local guy will grow on you. Support systems and accessability count for a lot, too. Best wishes, Mimi
  15. Oh, and Fit TV has a series called Housecalls that is very good too.
  16. LMD, The Diet Detective also has a website (.com) but his show is on hiatus right now but is usually on WE channel. X-weighted is on Discovery Health Channel on Tuesday Thursday at 4pm. Same channel different day from I lost it. Mimi
  17. My DEAR Doctor says we are just wasting time because we keep ending back at the same place we started. I hate him and had to beg for this last fill. I just tried some hot/warm tea a few minutes ago and it came back with the ibuprofen. Blast it all!!!!! Mimi
  18. I watch all those plus X-weighted, I Lost It, and The Diet Detective. I wish they wern't mostly in reruns I really enjoy them like you do!!!! Mimi
  19. No, it went down, it just stayed a long time. Most of 1 cup of my morning coffee went through before I realized I was having an issue. It has been down hill ever since, I am crying I so don't want an unfill!!!! If I am not better by morning I will go, though. Right now I am not dehydrated much, I don't think. Mimi
  20. Suzanne and RM. I drink more than 64 oz a day so I am well hydrated, I ate some tough stringy meat last night and I think that irritated my band. I will keep trying with the warm liquids. Unfortunately the more I barf the tighter my band gets. Thanks for your good wishes. Suzanne, I bet you are right, Jachut is probably sleeping!!! LOL, or out running!! Mimi
  21. RM, you have good advice as usual, and I can still burp some Slim fast so I am hoping my stomach isn't completely empty. I am really caught between what I know I should do and the long term impact if I do get an unfill. Thanks for caring, I won't let the vomiting go on too long. Mimi
  22. Hi, Suzanne. I don't know what aggravated my band, but I don't want to go for an unfill and that is what the doc's office will say. Jachut has had luck taking down swelling with Ibuprofen so I thought I would give it a try before calling in the rescue team, LOL. If I get one more unfill my doctor said he won't fill me any more. Mimi
  23. Congratulations, it is a great milestone!!!!! Mimi
  24. I have been barfing my liquids today and have not had a fill recently. I am sure my band is swollen. I just took the liquid ibuprofen (how much was I supposed to take?), how will I know when it works? How long before I try liquids again? What temperature should the liquids be when I try them? Thanks for any help you can give me. Mimi
  25. How miserable that must be. I hope you get better soon, I HATE being dizzy!!! Maybe a google or other search engine can give you more info? Mimi
