    I just want to commend you on how wonderful you look. I got banded back on 04-09 and I have not been doing to well. I dont know what it is, I guess lack of motivation. But seeing ur pics gives me motivation to want to try harder.

    Hi, I am 33 years old and live in Harrisburg, PA. I was banded April 3, 2009. Within 30 days I was down 22 pounds and over the next few months I lost about 10 more. Then about Oct of 09 I hit a wall. I started to crave more sweets like cookies, and cakes. Things I never really ate before my surgery. Now in the last 5 months I have not lost anything, I gained like 2 pounds back. I find that now when I eat if I get full after a few bits, I then start to spread that meal or whatever Im eating out over like an hour period till I done. I use to be excited about the band but now I am not because I can not seem to help the cravings and I try to eat anything I can. I want to get back on the right track, but need some suggestions and support on what I can try to do to get back on track how I was in the beginning... Thanks!!!

    Yes I am banded I was banded april 09, I am only down about 49 pounds :( Wow that is a lot of exercise you do. But it definitely has paid off for you. Thanks for the information, keep up the good work.

    Has anyone experience this?? I got banded in April 09 I got my third fill Aug 06 (4 1/2 cc), just this week it has been really hard for me to get any food down, even eggs I struggle with. Anything other than liquid texture I can not keep down. Now this was not like this when I got the fill it just started 3 weeks after the fill. Now I have a tightness in my throat and it seems really sore, tight, and tender.. Has anyone experiennce this or know why the change..

    Thanks guys for your responses. I guess I was asking when do u start to feel more restriction. I lost thirty pounds the first 4 weeks and since things have been slow.. I've had two fills already with a total of 4cc and I only lost about 4 pounds since I started receiving the fills. Starting to get frustrated because I do eat right and exercise.

    Hi Jaytee, I'm in the same boat as you are I had my first fill in mid May and they will not do my second until July 25. They said I have to wait 8 weeks in between, even though I do not have much restriction. So I'm pretty bumped about that.:tongue:

    Wow thanks for the info i did not know you were prone to them.. i know i this one lady in my area developed a hernia after her surgery, so i thought it could be caused from the band

    Wow 15 pokes, and I thought my 6-7 pokes were bad. How did you know you had a hernia. Is it something you can feel just by touching?

    Hi Guys, Today was my first fill. My band was empty and they put 3cc in it. It took about 6-7 pokes to get it in the right spot. He could feel the port but could not find the right spot to put the saline (ouch stung quit a bit but went a lot better then what I thought). I can not tell yet if there is a lot restriction because I am only on liquids. But I did notice that when I drink it kinda sits for a few seconds before it goes down, so hopefully I have a lot more restriction with food.:smile:
