My doc gave me a restaurant discount card
That wasn't a thing here, and I am kind of glad... I will stick to taking my left overs home and have 3 meals for 1. I think the only part I ever feel bad about is when they think I didn't eat because I didn't like it.

August surgery buddies!
So now that we are all so close to our year anniversary, did you meet your goal that you originally had? And what is your goal for the next year? For me, I wanted to just lose 100 lbs. post surgery, I an 6 lbs. from that, so I am pretty happy. I am hoping I hit my goal weight by February, and then its all about learning to maintain!

August surgery buddies!
I had to start working out more to get back to the 10-12 range. And I am still trying to stay under 1000 cal a day. I had a lot to lose though and I think that has a lot to do with it. I still have a lot to lose.

August surgery buddies!
Don't feel bad, I am now at the point where one month I lose 10-15 lbs, and the next i will lose like 2... But I am not gaining, so it's ok. You're doing great.

Constantly pooping, but it's not diarrhea
You're the first person I have seen with this issue, most people have the opposite problem. I would def see a doctor on it.

Looking for women 46 who had the sleeve
The health benefits and being more comfortable & mobile are the main things I focus on. If you think you are at the point of needing the sleeve, do it, you won't regret it.

Did anyone NOT have a 3 week stall?
I am sure there are people who didn't but I feel like the majority of us did stall between weeks 2-5.

Looking for women 46 who had the sleeve
I am not 46, but I am 43 and had the sleeve. Sagging skin is something that happens to most people, but it really all depends on you, everyone is different with the amount and where they have it. I will say that any amount of sagging skin is better than the extra weight I was carrying. and you can hide it or remove it if you feel the need.

Mental breakdown
All of your hormones that have been stored in your fat cells are coming out, add on the major surgery... Its normal. I have never cried so much in my life, and I used to never cry over ANYTHING! It's annoying. I do take this supplement now and it helps me feel a little more balanced. https://1stphorm.com/collections/hormone-support/products/harmony

Weight stall 7 days PO
Your body is in shock. don't worry about it and stay on track. Also, I would only weigh yourself once a week... daily is not a good idea.

Little to no weightloss
How much were you losing in 11 weeks before surgery?
-
Little to no weightloss
Fasting isn't going to help you to get on track. I hit a two month stall and the only thing that worked was actually carb loading for a weekend and then back to normal. Everyone stalls out through the process, try increasing calories, more exercise, things like that. the stall happens because your body is ion shock, starving it won't help.

Best Post-Op gift ideas?
Someone else said this too, but a goal outfit would be awesome. and then maybe some of his favorite, bariatric approved, treats.

Favorite Vitamins?
When you have blood work done a few months post op, you will know if they are working for you or if you are deficient.

Things youve learned since having your surgery? What you wish you knew/tips? My Surgery is 08/10
Just remember not to over do anything knowing you are going into surgery. I would start weening off sugars now, it will make it easier later, and get you a jump on shrinking your liver. And maybe start sampling proteins, because man, some are gross, and you want a good variety on hand for your pre and post off liquid phases. I really like my 1stPhorm shakes, because they are that sickeningly sweet artificial tasting kind.

Things youve learned since having your surgery? What you wish you knew/tips? My Surgery is 08/10
Eating the right things is more important than anything else. That dumb saying, "nothing tastes as good as being skinny" totally true, because there isn't one food I miss enough to mess this up. And I should have done this sooner.

Favorite Vitamins?
I don't think I am spending $30 a month on all of it, I buy 90 day bottles and its very cheap. I just can't do the chewables, they make me nauseous when I chew them, and they were more expensive.

How much hair did you lose after surgery and when was it noticeable?
My hair loss started at about 3-3.5 months and slowed at about 6-7 months. But the amount of hair loss is crazy. I luckily had very thick hair, so while most people didn't notice, I definitely did. The amount of hair left in my shower after one wash, was what I used to lose in almost two weeks of washing. It's alarming to see. I almost shaved it all off to be honest.... but it is temporary, and worth it.
