  5. Your dietitian should give you a meal plan. 1-2 weeks clear liquid. Broth, sugar free jello, protein waters, 1-2 oz per hour. After 1 week you should have another appointment with your surgeon. He may tell you to go to : Low-fat strained creamed soup Light yogurt Pudding, and protein shakes week 3-4 you may move to puréed food. Mostly protein foods. No heavy fiber vegetables though, like broccoli. Cooked very soft sweet potatoes carrots etc…then purée. Week 5-6. Start with protein-rich foods, such as chicken, fish, turkey, beans and eggs. Around week 5, you can add some vegetables and fruits. Chew until mushy. Don’t forget. Chew chew chew. Don’t drink 30 min before or after a meal. Soft foods are another step closer to eating solid foods, and are introduced around weeks 6-8. These include cooked or canned lean meats, fish, and certain vegetables and fruit. Please consult with your surgeon first. Everyone is different and so are doctors. What I listed is a basic guide. Try tiny bites first. And wait a min. See if you feel like you can tolerate (example:eggs, fish, beef). I’m 61. My surgery date is May 27, for my sleeve. I wish you all the best.
  6. Hoping for a May date also.
