  1. Leah, The best advice I can give you is get up and walk right away, hopefully the pain will be less and you will feel so much better. :thumbup:Karen
  2. Chinacat, I am only, what 3 days post-opt and I am doing my walking and I occasionally get a slight pain in my right shoulder, I have a pinching in one of my incision areas and it frightened me It feels like my stitches are ripping. They all tell me it OK there is stitches on the inside and outside. and they could be pulling a bit.

I'm not the great with Icon's an such so if anyone wants to change it your welcome to. But don't forget to join the group it will show on your profile also.

  6. Well Rose I'm banded and on the other side with you all. My day started being at the hospital at 8:AM and surgery was set for 10:00, the doc. canceled all of his other surgery's for the day and I was the only one, so we were right on time. I was back in my room by 12:30 and up walking at 2:00, I felt great! They told me 16 laps around the floor was a mile so I started out at 2:00 and walked 1/4 mile, at 4:00 I walked 1/2 mile and that is when the pain in my right shoulder set in, it lasted about 1 hour, and then every 2 hours I would walk 1/2 mile and I had no pain. When I left the hospital today I had already walked 4 miles:smile2:. I was proud of myself I fell like a new person and I'm liking that person a whole lot. I'm so glad yours went well Rose I thought about you off and on all day Tuesday, Now I'm on a all liquid diet for 1 week and then I guess I go to soft foods I'll find out for sure on Monday when I have my follow up apt. Good luck to everyone else who is coming up!!!!

  8. :tongue2::frown: gran thanks for all the thoughts, but my day didn't go as planned, I arrived at the hospital at 7:00 am for surgery but the Doctor didn't, He canceled my surgery for yesterday the 4th because he hurt his back and needed a day to rest, it upset me but was also fine by me I don't want the doctor working on me in pain or on pain pills, lol, Anyhow I go tomorrow the 5th, and I guess I will band twins with Rose now, I can't wait to be added on the band list. Hopefully they will let me go home on Wednesday from the hospital and when I do I will sure to check in, Good Luck Rose, see you on the banded side. Hope all went well Charm

  11. I totally agree, he is very caring. The first seminar that I went to I felt very comfortable with him, which is something that is a very good quality for a surgery like this. I am about to be banded in 4 days, Oct. 4th, 2010, and I have had nothing but great treatment from Doctor Marley and his whole office staff.
