  1. I agree with KC, it's a combo of fill and what you're eating. If you're eating things like "sliders" (food that goes down too easy) you'll be able to eat a whole lot more of it. With the right restriction, a 1/2 of cup of protein usually does the trick. You also stay full for quite sometime. I drink plenty of water, crystal light and also South beach living "tide me over" protein water mix.
  2. Thanks KC, I'll be glad when I get to the point you're at
  3. Thanks everybody. Thought it was time to put up the new look:thumbup:

make sure you get som type of gas-x or liquid gas drops for children, plenty of liquids (water, crystal light, protein drinks, jello). You'll be fine after surgery. My surgery was on a Monday and I was in Palm Springs by Friday

  11. the exercise thing is definetly working. I am shrinking like crazy. I seem to be getting smaller daily. I can see it in my fingers, toes, wrists, face, and yes even the rolls ony my back are disappearing. Why couldn't I have learned this lesson a year ago when I was first banded (think I did, but fell off the wagon big time with the cookies)... Whatever it is, I'm not going to stop. I feel fabulous. Over the weekend I went to the Avenue to get a new birthday outfit, yall I cried in the dressing room, I have never , ever, never, ever, ever worn a size 14 (not that I can remember). I think I was born a 20. It took me a minute to get myself together... So after I cried all over the outfit I was going to buy, I hurried up and exchanged it for something that was dry on the rack (I know, I know, I'm going to hell for that), but who wants wet clothes.... Enough ranting, until next time my bandster family.. Hope this helps someone else along their journey

  13. If you can manage to stay away from Sur La Table, please do. They know me by name in there, I just go to look (don't always buy), but I have to see what's on clearance.. 17. this forum is more helpful than the creator will ever know:thumbup::crying:. Without it, I think we would fall into these food traps more often than we're doing now. Without you guys, I don't know if I could continue doing this. Nobody else understands. And yes, I watch porn from the time I get home until I go to bed (I also cater on the side), I think I need a therapist, preferrably Tyler Florence or G. Garvin, or Tom Colicchio (did I say that out loud)!:tt2: mmm, mmm good
  18. this is too much for one day! Only other true food addicts would understand our pain... Thank god for the band:thumbup:. It does wonders for the stomach, but the mind is a animal of a different sort... I just went to lunch, did good with the food. Ordered the bourbon glazed scallops (appetizer) 4 scallops, only ate two... but my mind wanted the cookie pazookie kinda thing ( I was full), I forced myself to eat it...There ought to be a crime, now I have to do 1 full hr walking straight uphill on the treadmill:cursing::crying:
