I appreciate your response. I’ve been wrapping my head around the possibility that this surgery may not happen and preparing myself mentally for doing this on my own and continuing to take meds for the GERD. I know it’s not personal, and I don’t want to force it. I know they are doing this for my safety and to accommodate those impacted by COVID.

My surgery was scheduled for 8/16, then rescheduled for 8/23…today it got cancelled due to increase in Covid cases with no rescheduled date in sight. I’m so bummed, but wondering if this happened for a reason ?

How are you doing after surgery?

Thank you love, they postponed my surgery to 8-23, but it’s 2 weeks to go from here. Praying they don’t cancel it because of the COVID surge in LA County ??

My surgery is on Aug 16, and my doctor authorized me to be off for 6 weeks. I never imagined being off that long, but honestly, I’m gonna take the full 6 weeks. I’m a first responder, and I do field work in 100 degree weather. Besides that, I know this will be a huge adjustment mentally.

Mine is August 16th…I’m starting my pre-op diet tomorrow

I plan to attend all my appointments this time around also. Kudos to you for seeking counseling as well, it sounds like you’re set for success this time around ?

If you haven’t had surgery yet, I recommend the bypass. Sleeve seems to give a lot of us GERD. I’m revising from a sleeve to a bypass now because of GERD. Give it some thought.

Hello All, I’m have a revision from Gastric Sleeve to Gastric Bypass on August 16… I’m nervous and excited at the same time. How are you all feeling? I had the Gastric Sleeve 9/2015 SW 347 LW 239. Now I’m having a revision due to GERD and regain. CW 299… the first time around I didn’t follow-up with my doctor after having complications with GERD early on. I’m so looking forward to doing things the right way this time! Who’s having their revision in August? Also, what are some mistakes you all made that you plan to do differently this time?
