  1. Hi everyone- I just started the pre-op diet today, but I'm really confused about other posts. Some people are on strictly liquids? My surgeon asked that I lose five pounds before surgery. And that was all. Am I doing enough? My surgery is on July 18 and I'm 23 years old. I just want to be sure I'm doing the right thing! And of course I'm exercising. Help!
  2. Good luck to all the July Butterflies tomorrow! We are all thinking about you! Be sure to let us know how everything goes when you get a chance :biggrin2:
  3. I can't wait to wear a regular speedo! I swim every day at the gym and I'm sick of my bathing suit with a skirt attached! It's always getting in the way Oh- and I can't WAIT to walk into Gap and buy a pair of jeans.
  4. Best of luck to you Kiwi! You're going to do just fine. Our thoughts and prayers are with you
  5. Thank you SO MUCH Brandy! Nice to see a fellow Oregonian on here
  6. Hi Theresa- I'm sure you've already checked, but just in case...have you asked your doctor? If your doctor isn't in the area, have you checked with a doc close to you? They will definitely know of support groups in your area. And don't be afraid to ask them! They are definitely there to help. Best of luck to you!
  7. Hi Everyone- I am delighted to say that I have finally landed a surgery date of July 18, 2008! Whoo hoo! What an answer to prayer! However, now that I officially have a date set...the panic has set in. I've never had any type of surgery before in my life...and I'm scared. I've also never had anesthesia. What should I expect on the day of surgery? The hours after? You guys seem to be such a great group of experts And I need all the advice I can get. Anything I should be prepared for that maybe they haven't told me? Were you guys scared before your surgery? I'm just so worried something is going to go wrong the day of surgery :confused2: Anyway-thanks in advance for any advice/tips. Much love!
  8. I am getting banded July 18 with Dr. Emma Patterson! :biggrin2:
  9. I am having surgery July 18 with Dr. Emma Patterson. I live in Portland but I am having the surgery in Vancouver because I am self pay and it costs much less at Southwest Medical Center.
  10. I'm scheduled for July 18 with Dr. Emma Patterson!
  11. Best of luck to you both! My prayers are with you! I'm scheduled for July 18
