  1. All of this!! ⬆️ I made my daughter a grilled cheese and the smell was amazing. I wasn't even hungry. I feel your pain!!
  2. Thank you for posting this!!! SUPER helpful!
  3. Here's to a speedy recovery!
  4. Well, this is definitely stressful!
  5. Ugh. That must've been horrible!
  6. So true! Nervous about my TOM starting on surgery day. I'm normally like clockwork, so... Yikes.
  7. OMG Popcorn ? My 3 year old wants it every other day... So the house smells like it. Never fails. I'm literally sitting in the car with my fussy toddler while my husband and brother in law order bacon cheeseburgers with fries. This is going to go ahead and be the hardest I've hit so far. I should've brought a shake with me! Other than that, all good.
  8. First 4 days without caffeine were TRASH. constant headache. Since then, I've felt great! Full of energy. I've been doing 3 shakes a day, 1 big broth and a bunch of water/flavored drinks. I was worried it was going to be hell the whole time. How's yours going and how are you feeling?
  9. Don't know how I missed that we're same-day as well.
  10. Same day here! We got this! ?
  11. Same!!! After about a week my brain fog has cleared and I'm feeling MUCH better on the liquid diet. I was worried it was going to be horrible the whole 2 weeks.
  12. Very helpful. You're right, I also wanted to give them a chance to ask questions or voice any concerns they might have. Appreciate the input ?
  13. OMG yay you!!!! [emoji471]
  14. This is exactly what I was wondering! Really appreciate you guys sharing your experiences. I think we'll talk abut it this weekend. Keeping it health-focused is really what seems to make sense, because that's the whole point! Thank you Mamas and Grandmas! Also - - Happy Mother's Day!! ❤️
  15. How did everyone else's WLS conversations go with your kids? I have a 3 year old and 2 pre-teen girls. I want to make sure I have a good conversation with my pre-teens about this as I know it's a funny subject, especially at their age. Any suggestions?
  16. Yeesh! This sounds like an interrogation...but sounds like you already know how you want to approach it. Family can be the hardest to discuss this with, I think. Hopefully they become supportive once they see how HARD you're working!
  17. Good info to know! Sounds overwhelming.
  18. Thanks for the hospital bag list - Putting one together now. Crazy to think you're on the other side of surgery already healing ? Sounds like things went pretty smoothly for you - that's so awesome! It's unreal that the day is on the horizon. Good to know about the water - I've definitely heard that, so I'll have to keep it in mind.
  19. Oh perfect! I'll have to try cream soups, for sure. Thanks! Today is day 4 of LSD and the first day I haven't woken up with a headache. I'm officially 6 days caffeine free so hopefully that was the worst of it. So funny that decaf tasted weird. That'll be fun - retrying all of the different textures to see how you react. Any advice for surgery day? I've heard a heating pad and mouth spray, but that's about it ?‍♀️
  20. So glad to hear you're keeping liquids down now. What an experience! I would definitely be freaked out if I was vomiting blood, but glad to hear it was "normal".
  21. Oh, wow. That totally makes sense but I'm sure doesn't make it any easier. That's the rough part-cooking/making tasty things for others while you eat sugar free EVERYTHING.
  22. Congrats and good to hear!
  23. Glad you posted this. I had some of the same questions. We have the same surgery date, May 18th! Good luck with your journey and I hope everything goes really well. Just wondering, are you in your liver shrinking diet stage now?
  24. Oh yikes at the egg situation! Trying solids post-op seems scary. Can't imagine how you're feeling. I was so curious to see how things were going for you and how you were feeling so far. How are cream soups doing for you? I'm sure the sensation is going to be so weird testing out foods and seeing how your new tummy reacts. Sounds like even with the stall, you're doing great! Yay you! And yep, my date is May 18th. I'm all liquids on my diet, and it's going...okay. I'm trying to be creative but I'm stuck in the caffeine withdrawal fog. Hopefully I'll be feeling better after a few days. Love these updates!
  25. Freaked out is right. Same!
