This is what I put on to go to the grocery store earlier today. It's actually a swimsuit coverup...but its the only tank-like summer dress I own that fits me at the moment (...and the "arm up" pose is to camouflage my batwing ?... I should walk around with my arms up all day ? )

Sleeve & PCOS diets compliment each other really easily.
PCOS diets usually recommend consuming lots of lean meats & seafood, fibre rich vegetables (leafy greens & cruciferous), legumes, berries all of which are also usually on recommended food plans post sleeve. Foods to avoid for both are processed carbs, (bread, rice, pasta, etc.), sugary foods & drinks, high fat foods, processed meats.
Are your medical team for recommendations to a dietician who has experience with bariatric patients. Most of us are advised to see a dietician pre surgery & whose services you can access as needed post surgery.

It all depends on your insurance and their requirements. But most are the same and still make you follow the same guidelines whether the BMI is 35, 40, 45 or 50. They might approve you easier with a higher BMI but it's still a 6 month long process. My BMI was over 40 and I had to have atleast 2 comorbidities (i had several) such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, acid reflux, etc. And you have to see your primary 6 months in a row for weight documentation, visits with a nutritionist/dietician, have a psych evaluation, sleep apnea study (its 2 different nights if you are diagnosed with apnea). EGD. And Some require you to see a Cardiologist. And then a month before your surgery you meet with surgeon again, get surgery scheduled, some require a class or two regarding the surgery, EKG/labs days before, covid test.
Its a 6 month long minimum process. Sometimes longer. Just hang in there. Be patient and go to all of your appointments. Be on time (some docs will mark you as a now show and charge late fees, rescheduling you a month out just for being 10 minutes late).
    Good luck on your journey.

I'm not from San Antonio, but whenever I've looked for a new primary, I look for online reviews. Of course, that's not going to tell you if the person in judge-y about obesity and weight loss surgery, but if the reviews generally say the person is empathetic, they might be OK with these issues, too. And if not, it's usually easy enough to switch..

Just found out my insurance covers VSG! I still have some hoops to go through! I need your help! Who is the best primary Dr to go to here in San Antonio TX?
I have undiagnosed anxiety about being judged by the Dr, so I’ve never had a primary dr to go too??
