Ive spoke with some offices in LA and they what $480 for a fill. My insurance is not covering any of my lapband procedures sooo does anyone know of a reasonable place in the LA area?? Ive tried fill centers usa and they want a $375 or so membership cost, no thank you to that. I have to go to Tijuana every time for a fill, its sort of annoying takes the whole day, any help will me much appreciated.

HI, So was I banded on the 17th of june- in Tijuana, HAA! I was actually planning to go to monterrey, got a better price in TJ so went there instead. how ya doin? I just posted a thread asking people to respond who got banded in june. im doin ok i could be better if i lost more weight. I was exspecting to be losing like a mad woman but thats not the case. Best !

I totally felt like that before my first fill i actually gained 2 lbs befor my first fill. DOnt feel bad or embarrsed, try not to be embarrsed, i suppose ur losing weight for urself so go in and get the fill no matter what, if u happen to have a bad month then get a tighter fill thats what i did, my first fill wasnt tight enough so even after my fill i was eating full meals, i couldnt take it and do this to myself any more so after 2 weeks from my 1st fill i went back in and asked my doc for more restriction. its been about a week now and im feeling MUCH better about myself and the hole deal. Im still new to all this i was just banded in june of 2008 hopefully ill be one of those people on this forum saying they lost 75 lbs. DOnt worry, your not alone. whenever i get worried and spas out i rant and post all my problems and fears, people responed and i feel 100 times better. I hope you fell better too. best of luck too you.

i was told to stay on clear liqds 4 the 1st week, creamy 2nd week, then soft soilds, like yogurt, pudding 3rd week then i should be good to carefully have regular solids. To tell u the truth i was so hungry the first week it was hard to stay on that diet. I cheated a bit snuck in soft foods here and there but it really didnt do much to satisfy. i recommend you to stay on a strict post op diet untill ur tummy heals. best of luck to you. -
Omigod totally intrested in going down to tj with you. so since ur appointments at 11 i guess ull be leaving early, Im not sure where temecula is ill look at a map after i send this message so how do u want to do this? can you pick me up? how much do you think gas will be so we could split that?

It been about a month since my surgery, had my first fill last week and ive only lost 5 lbs. havent had the nerve to get on the weights but i think i gain a pound or two from the likes of my eating. i dont have enough restirction i think. its only been 1 week since my fill and im eatting im hungry urgh. feel sooo frustrated, i ask myself if im doing something wrong maybe i exspected to much from the band. im not losing as much as others. i was looking forward to reporting to everyone how much is coming off but nope. its not happening. anyone know what im talking about? :confused2: :biggrin:

Got my fist fill 2 days ago, went to Mexico, Tijuana I live in Los Angeles so its about 2-3 hours away, it takes the whole day ImI not too happy about that but thats were I got my surgery and the people there are more than compatant so feel real safe there. My first and second day was on liquids last night had some rice and meat, chewed real good and it went down ok. I was suprised I can eat that, heard from alot of peps they cant eat rice, they are a few years in their band perhaps thats the reason, if anyone knows let me know. I feel like if I chew real good I could eat pretty much any thing. Woke up today and felt blotted from the food I had — rice and meat. havent had anything to eat yet but will try something a shake perhaps. Sort of regret having solids last night, I hate felling blotted. Im thinking maybe I should have asked the nurse to fill me a bit more. So now if it really bugs me that im not restricted enough I have to get my butt down to TJ and chuck another 100 dollars and probly have them put .2 or so cc for restriction. urgh- Am I over reacting and will I feel better about this or am I just shit out of luck?

how do you feel about not using floral when getting ur fills? i heard the garden grove office doesnt have floral. just got my first fill on the 15th of july, cant imagine a doctor or nurse feeling and pocking around for a port. I went to my surgery place TJ. they have floral and the fill process was precise, with floral they were sure not to fill me too tight or to loose. wondering how fill centers without floral operate. -

Hi everyone so i got banded in june of 2008 its been 3 weeks or so since ive only lose 5 pounds and i could eat everything, i have no restriction, ive heard to get a first fill one should be 5 or 6 weeks, i couldnt wait that long so im getting my first fill this coming tuesday im excited to lose more weight. im not losing a pound and eating anything i want without any problem or restriction, does this sound familiar or normal to anyone?

hi everyone, just banded in june, wanted to say HIII to all the cali folk! im in LA, Hollywood. Can Anyone recommend fill doctors and centers in the LA area, ive called a couple of places and they are asking $480. Thats more than i was planning. I can go to Tijuana for fills but that just takes the whole day, im looking for some were closer and more convenient. appreciate Info! -

hi everyone, so i was banded in june of 2008 its been 3 weeks or so. i can eat anything i want without any problem, i guess i have no restriction, so im scheduled for my first fill this coming tuesday, that wil be 4 weeks from my surgery date, does anyone think its to early to get a fill and is it normal to be eatting like this in 3 weeks
