Get this thing out of me
I absolutely hate the lapband. I wish you the best of luck as i am going through the process of trying to get it removed. It has made everything worst for me.

Have you tried Almond Milk
I love almond milk but only the almond breeze light 40 calories one. The silk is disgusting. You might have an allergy to it, if it gave you the runs.

Gallbladder gone bad
Mine too! I am in the process of testing and seeing if it has to be removed! Not so much fun. I didn't loose my weight fast either so I am just not sure.

2 Years after the Band.

Is it normal to feel no restriction
Completely normal. I finally have restriction after almost 2 years. Be careful. I gained 30lbs.

Port Placement?
Mine is on my left side and I feel it in everything I do. Bend over, sitting down, picking up my son, leaning on a counter. I cannot wear jeans if I have to sit down for more then 15 minuets. It is a pain in the butt.

Surgeon disappointed in weight loss / Bandsters a Dying Breed?
What a Jerk Face! Bands aren't dying out. My doctor does more bands then bypasses. Also...You are only suppose to loose up to 70% of your excess weight in 5 years. So if you are a 100 over you are expected to loose 70lbs in 5 years. Be proud of your accomplishments. You are truely an inspiration to everyone. I have been banded for almost 2 years and I had a horrible weight gain and my doctor keeps pushing me. KEEP GOING BE PROUD!

Food, Subs??
I could tolerate some bread. It is a learning experience, but we are here to make a change. Good Luck in your journey!

thinking......
I was super excited and was counting down the days. I wanted to be healthy and I knew diet and exercise alone were not enough. I needed another tool. I have had plenty of surgeries before so I wasn't nervous about this one. This was a life changing surgery, because I wanted to change my life. I knew this surgery would help me be more active in my sons life. It meant I would be happy and healthy.

Port Pain
I always have port pain. I was banded 8/2008. It is not constant but I cannot wear jeans without it hurting when I sit down. I cannot sit period for a long time. I always have that reminder it is there.

Can someone who is steadily losing wt share their daily diet?
It is good to read these posts. I have been going crazy. I was banded August 2008 and I think I finally have restriction. I ended up gaining back 30lbs of what I lost and here I am again to try to loose it again. My favorite is FF refried Beans with FF sour cream and salsa. sooo yummy.

Where are you at going into 2010?
Well I have been MIA from the boards for a long time. i just have been extremely upset with the band. I have gained alot of the weight back and have had a zillion fills and nothing nothing at all. I am going to speak with my doctor about getting gastric bypass since I am above a 40 bmi again. I know I dont look it but I carry my weight well in the behind and legs. I am soo fustrated with myself. I diet and exercise and nothing.

Food Ideas for being Plateaued.
I need help with food ideas. I haven't lost weight since January and this last month I finally pushed 5lbs off of me. Which I am very excited for. I just worked harder at the gym. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of foods that are quick and easy to prepare. I dont have time to cook all my meals in one day or to cook every night. I was wondering there is a quick recipe that someone swears by. For Breakfast I either do pb on light wheat (1 piece obviously) to get Protein or 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg scrambled with salsa and ff cheese on top. Those are easy for me..... Please share your secrets..... Miss you all! I am going to try to connect more on here again!
