I am looking for a good brand of a Biotin supplement...and also a biotin shampoo..My hair is super thin and Id rather load up on so biotin now before I start losing...I have expierenced hair loss before and its horrible for me..so gimmie all the good tips u got :thumbup: Also anyone ever heard of a chewable biotin.? Thought Id ask

Hello.. I am a 24 y/o female banded June 24th 2008..Ive lost about 40 lbs but then started putting it back on. I have had 3 fills I believe..I am in nursing school and I have a limit of how much class I can miss..My Dr. only does fills on certain days..so here I am..my last fill was Jan. I am trying to get an appt for a fill this week since I am on spring break. I do really well when I get my fill but as soon as my band gets a lil looser Im back to eating bad :smile:.. I graduate from nursing school Aug. 7th and would love to walk across the stage as a much smaller nurse I am looking for a buddy who's trying to get back on the wagon or even someone encouraging or needs encouragement to. I would love to feel helped as much as help someone to. I would be so greatful for any time we could dedicate to each other. I have been so discouraged latley but I woke up today feeling motivated to change my bad ways. Thanks!! Also my current weight is 246

Hi! I just moved from Mi to WV (beckley) anyone in the area?? Well I was banded june 24th 08..Ive had one fill so far but lost my ins and with moving havent gotten a fill again..however I have an appointment with Dr. ROssi in charleston next week...does anyone have Dr. Rossi and what do u think..I am nervous because my first fill was with my surgeon. I cant wait to get the fill tho cus I havent lost any weight recently and I can eat what I want...not good...so I have been maintaing the 30 I lost...anywho...let me know if anyone got any info! thanks!!

:cursing: I was banded June 24th..I know this is a time to heal..but..I lost 15lbs..Im staying busy and active ...and I havent lost 1 lb in about a week now..grrr...anyone else having this problem..I know I should be glad I lost the 15lbs and I know I should be just thinking about healing..but I cant help it I feel so discouraged

This is kind of silly but..here goes...is not being allowed to use a drinking straw just a post op thing or is it forever and always thing?

To the steri strips..for days now Ive had blisters itching all around my incisions I called my Dr. and he told me to put neosporin on it..but it seems not to be helping..Im gonna call again tommorow , but I'm wondering how many people had this problem.. ekkk it itches

Ive read that lack of protein will contribute to excess loose skin..so Im trying to get all the protein plus some..but that is hard..Im just gonna get mine cut if it ends up to bad...

Tommorow is my two wk mark for post op.. I had a 2 week restriction on lifting anything heavier then 20 lbs..my kid is 22 lbs.. Im wondering if I should start slinging him around on my hip again or if its to early..Esp. since he fights me...and thast like 50 lbs lol Any tips or suggestions?

I would just flat out tell him. If hes any kind of real decent man he would admire u for taking a huge step in your life to better urself and your health! If hes any think like that loser guy u mentioned you'll know by his reaction and then u get rid of him to. lol And..as far as ur ex..hes so F'in lame he has to use the excuse u had a wls..o lord...or maybe he likes fat chicks lol..

I would sooo never go to her again! its ur choice..she obviously wants to push u to gastric bypass because thast what she does and she wants the money from being ur Dr. and operating. I dont like that at all,,,and by the way do u have tricare standard or prime..cus u can always go to another Dr. if u have prime tell ur pcm u want a referal to another surgeon because u dont think she has ur best interest in mind ..and if u have standard just go to another Dr.. My Dh just got out of the military and I had prime the whole time..well I switched to standard after he got out ( with that 6 month transitional ins.) and I just got my surgery done 2 weeks ago...go figure my tricare ends in a wks lol..crazy.. Anywho..dont let someone push u into anything u are unsure of or dont want just because SHE is the surgeon its ur body and ur life..she can go to hell if shes more comfortable doing bypass..F her... Sorry if Im bitchy I just hate the fact she is trying to presude u. makes me mad! And for me bypass was never an option..I dont like all the scary stuff that goes with rerouting thats huge risk and VERY dangerous to reverse. and the fact u can actually gain all the weight back in a few yrs when your "new stomach" regenerates cells which will then absorb ur fat intake.Which I've personally seen happen to a friend. Im sure u will make the right decision for yourself.

well I didnt follow to a T...however my post op diet was 2 wks liquid and then 2 weeks full liquid ( which the full starts tommorow). now this being said.,.every surgeon has different post op diets so..I didnt eat solids..but during my clears I did have some things consider more of a full liquid..o yea..my Dr. also had me on milk and yogurt during clear liquids..and thats not clear..so I occasionally had some other liquids eqivalent to yogurt and milk...I didnt eat burgers and stuff tho lol..so I followed the rules..but kind of cheated a lil...not so much tho.

Thank u guys soo much for the tips! Eeyore..how big are the size of the pills ..do u crush em? I cant wait to get on these..when I was prego my hair and nails looked amazing from the biotin in the prenatals I should have never stoped taking them. Im gonna head over to gnc tommorow!

aww Im so sad to hear about the loss of ur lil dog. Thats so terrible.. I hope u ran over the person who killed him..sorry that was kinda harsh but Id stab someone if they ran my lil guy over. sorry again!

u should be ok as long as ur pcm believes in the surgery..I had prime and my pcm in Japan just thought I need diet and exercise..maybe he was trying to say the military money who the heck knows lol..good luck!

hmm thats strange..my clear liquids were all that plus milk and yogurt..but then again that really isnt clear..I think My Dr. is crazy...

I am also super down..I just feel uninterested in my life..before the surgery I was so sure and I was excited to start nursing school in Aug. well...Now Im not sure I even want to do it..Im supposed to move to WV where my DH is working and I dont want to even do that..I feel depressed ,fat,not interested in anything..and mostly not sure of myself anymore... However...I am glad I have lost some weight so far..and my feet arent bothering me when I walk..which is awesome.. I just hope this time passes as quickly as possible for all of us..Its hard now but it will get easier..it has to .

do u have tricare prime or standard...and if u have standard..they can basically put anything through and tricare will take care of it..prime is harder. I have standard and I didnt even need a pre auth for my surgery..hope this helps/.//u could also call and ask them..I did.

But I am soo happy I did..well Im 1 week p/o today...Im starving.:smile2:.liquids are going through me and im hungry 5 mins later..I need something thicker but I still have a wk of clear liquids:scared2:..so I take measures into my own hands,, I thought of a plan and then executed it.. 1 can of refried beans:thumbs_up: 1 can of water:thumbs_up: 1 outlet plug:thumbs_up: 1 blender:thumbs_up: Here goes...about 3 mins later I was enjoying a nice warm cup of refried Beans turned into straight liquid.:thumbup:.and it was so good lol..Granted I was starving..but it sure cured my hunger..20 mins later I am sitting here still full , no pain,no nothing..just a happy full feelings... ehh when I think of what I did it is rather sick. could be worse.

I am also super afraid of throwing up..but trust me ..it was super watttttery lol...ehh

:frown:Ok I was banded June 24th..the swelling is going down...Im starting to get hungry...to the point of tears..I cant believe this..I feel so lame..I went into the kitchen for something to eat drink whatever u wanna call it (im on Clear Liquids for another wk)..well I just started crying..I am sooo hungry its painful...so I grabed myself some milk after I wiped away tears..This is a terrible feeling..the last two days its been happening more frequent..and thats when I try to get the heavier of things instead of broth. Is this how it will be untill I feel restriction..I have lost 10 lbs already so I feel like I am doing great..but its so hard at times when Im so hungry I feel like I cant get the drink down fast enough..is anyone having this problem?? any advice or support is appreciated.. I just keep thinking...ur gonna look hot in that size 10 jeans lol..suck it up.. WAHHH

Hi..well I had ALOT of problems with doxicycline..and actually Im allergic to it..but anyways I took it and started throwing up black stuff. As far as I know..Doxicycline is a crappy antibiotic lol..Id ask for something different if it is giving u that much problem..es. with a band..
