Hello all you August All Stars!! Today is my 1 year anniversary and I am happy to say that I am down 70 pounds! A year ago I was tired all the time, my legs hurt, my asthma was bad, and I was generally an unhappy person. But today, all that has changed! I thought I would be at my goal by now, but I am really happy with all that I have achieved. I would also like to take a minute to say thank you to all of you! I have not been on this forum very much in the past few months and I was really glad to see so many people still on here! I could not have gotten through this past year with out reading and re-reading all of the things that you all have posted. I was never a big "poster" even at the best of times, but in my weak moments it was you people that got me through it! So thank you for being an insperation to me, even if I didn't say so before! I hope that you all are enjoying the "new" yous! Who knows maybe next summer instead of a tankini I will wear a bikini! Is that ok after 35? Oh who the hell cares anyway!!!:w00t:

Wow!! You all have done such a great job...I am impressed! I have lost 55 pounds with 40 more to go. I went from a size 20 (on my 5 foot frame) to a 12! I am so happy that I did this not only for me, but for my family too. You all are an inspiration to me! Thanks for keeping me going!

I won't be making my goal either, but I feel great anyway and have really enjoyed doing this. Next Friday the 26th is my 35th Birthday and I feel better this year than I have in years past, especially last year!! Lellow you WILL lose those 5 Kilos! And look great at your bros wedding and have a fabulous time! We all need little motivators in this journey. So TVGen, if you don't have a special occasion to look forward to, then hang a pair of pants that you can't fit into yet on the back of your door in your bedroom or somewhere and that can serve as your motivation! For me, its going to be my Husbands Christmas party for the office. Last year I looked as big as Santa himself in my red shiney sweater (jumper for you Lellow)! Not this year, I fully intend on getting into those size 14 black pants and wear a sexy white and silver halter top! So help me Lord and LapBand!!

You can get Spanx or something just like it at Target and I don't think it was more than $20. Just a thought.

I started my pre-op diet at 224. Surgey day August 11th I was 213 and a size 18, today I am 186 and I size 16. Its amazing how different I feel!

The bra and undies are needed for sure! I started in August with a bra of 40 DD and today I am wearing a 38 D. I had the old one on and husband starting laughing so I thought...hmmmm I better fix this. Such a amazing feeling to wear things that I feel good in. I know that I am still obese but I feel so much better that is what really suprises me!

Sorry to hear about your back! I thought I was doing good because I walk about 2.5 miles 4 times per week but the Doctor said I should be running! I told him the only way I would run is if someone was chasing me with a knife so he said he will meet me at 6 am with a knife every morning!! lol. Guess I better step it up. I have started walking up and down my stairs for 5 minutes at a time and that is a killer but I am hoping that with every week it will get easier and I will at some point do it for about 30 minutes straight.:wink2:

I agree with Misty. I try to eat right but if I allow myself a taste of some of the things I used to eat I feel so much better and don't feel like I am on a "diet". Today for Breakfast I had a scrambled egg with 1 slice of deli ham and some cheese and about 1/2 a tortilla. lunch will be a small salad with lite dressing and dinner is 4 oz of chicken breast. But it I want some chips or nuts during the day then I do that but just a small amount.

For those of you who are not happy with the rate of weight loss, or if your loss has stalled, are you exercising? I ask because I noticed that I didn't lose one week and then the next week I finally bit the bullet and started working out a little bit and it really made all the difference. Granted I don't do as much as my doctor wants me to but I will get there eventually. So is everyone working out?
