  1. I also was banded on the 6th and I stopped taking the Vicodin because of headaches. The Tylenol will be fine, don't worry!:wink2:
  2. Vegas I didn't have to do that. Good Luck!
  3. Thanks Krislyn! I have no idea what PB's are?
  4. Happy One Week Bandaversary! Can you believe our group is now starting to have bandaversaries???? Just think in what 2 - 2 1/2 weeks we all will be banded! Question: Does anyone know how long it takes before it doesn't hurt to sleep on your stomach? I guess that a good question for the mean forum huh?
  5. LOL! I thought you might feel that way!(: MOMX-Thanks I am feeling so much better! I'm so glad you are too! Best Wishes Everyone Tomorrow! You all will do great!(:
  6. Hi Mrs. EOD, Welcome to the August All-Stars!
  7. Hey Hottie! I see you've already got alot of great advice. There's no way I would be able to do that 2 days after! I'm 4 days post-op and today's the first day that I have gone and gone without laying down to take a nap. I think you guys have made a wise decision! Unless you went on Saturday or Sunday and got a wheel chair???? Good luck tomorrow! I'll be thinking of you! Thanks everyone for the B-Day wishes!
  8. Tomorrow is my Birthday (as well as my baby boy's he'll be 4) so I will for sure being doing the hair and make-up thing...I'm sure it's going to make me feel a whole lot better! OMG I can't believe I'm going to be 36 that is soooo crazy!
  9. This is a great website and has truly helped me with my whole experience!
  10. I have bruising too, they are starting to go away now though.
  11. Gosh Shamrock! That bites!! I'm glad your doing better now. I started dry heaving right before I left the hospital and so they keep me there longer to make sure I keep my protein down. It scared the heck out of me! That makes me feel better that I'm not the only one retaining water (gas), my stomach still feels really bloated! But, I'm not really in any pain, just if I try to get up wrong. I sure am tired though!
  12. Are any of you retaining water, since you've been banded?
  13. Hey, Everyone! Well I'm off the meds and feeling much better. I can just feel the gas in my stomach but, it never did you to my neck or shoulders thank God! I was drinking the slimfast high protein shakes which only have 15 grams of protein in them and the taste is nothing to write about! Well, yesterday morning I was going threw my pantry and got my whey protein powder out and I was so happy it's not expired, because I bought it a while ago. ANYWHO my doctor said I can put a half banana in my shakes so, I have to say I'm totally enjoying my shakes now, they taste great! And they have 24 grams of protein instead of only 15! I just thought I would share(:
  14. Hi Jenbug, I left you a message on your home page!(: Good luck all you Monday bandsters! I've been a little out of it this week, I hope everyone who's been banded so far is doing great!

Thanks I'm so glad it's over with too! I didn't get the morphine either because I vomitd on that after I had one of my baby boys (I couldn't remember which one!).
  16. They said I can Advil. I stopped taking the pain meds, so I'm doing alot better. I'm not to worry about being up, the way I go from here is down right? I HOPE!!!!! Keep up the good work everyone! I can't wait to see your number next friday. I'm hoping for a steady 2 lbs a week, believe me I'll take more! But, my goal is to lose 104 lbs the first year, and 35 - 40 during the second.
  17. Thanks so much for the good wishes! Everything now is going pretty darn good, as long as I don't get other headache!:frown:

Well it's almost 3 in the morning so I guess I'm 3 days post op now. My surgery went really well. It was funny because I read how everyone says their not hungry after surgery for a few days. Well here's me in the recovery room and the first words out of my mouth are "I'm hungry!"LOL I think what I was really feeling was gas pains! My roomie was a girl (Surgery4Me) I meant on here in the August forums, that was so awesome because I totally felt that I had know her for awhile! As far as how I'm feeling. I'm feeling pretty good. I have the same gas issue's everyone has but, it's not to bad. I have stopped taken my pain meds as for they were giving me migraine's! Most of my day today and yesterday were in bed because of it. That part has been awful! It even caused me to do some scary dry heaves when I was in the hospital. I was supposed to get of there on Thursday at 11:00 but, I was not aloud to leave until after 12:30 because I had to make sure I could keep my protein down. I have not lost any weight yet I have actually gain about 4 lbs my body is holding on to the liquids and I can still feel the swelling in my stomach as well as the gas! So I'm not too worried about it yet. It's going to come off! My Doctor did a great job with his incisions...I don't think I'm going to have bad scars at all! I'm so happy about that!!:frown: Well, I'm going back to bed. I will write more later.

  20. Hi Jazma, I posted this awhile back. I hope it helps!
  21. 269 Before Surgery 261 Day of Surgery (Wednesday) 264 3 days after I think my body is really holding on to all the fluids. I've been walking alittle bit, today I've mostly been a bed with a migraine.
  22. Krtock-Do your best to get your protein in! It's so very important!!! PJ - That's what I'm taking now. The only side affects it has is really sleepiness, did you used to drink coffee?
  23. Lanakila you are hilarious! You little recruiter you!LOL:biggrin:
