You'll do great! The nerves are normal. I'm on day 3 post op and feel pretty good aside from gas pains.

How exciting! You can totally do this, and believe me the 6 months will fly by. Really use this time to learn and master new habits. Set yourself up for success. Good luck!

Two days until surgery and the nerves are kicking in. I keep finding myself thinking about the things I can never have again (goodbye wine), but I quickly remind myself of everything I will be gaining...most importantly an improved quality of life. How are your nerves these days?

My BMI is 39 and I was a candidate for either one; however, I suffer from bad heartburn. The doctor recommended the bypass vs sleeve for me. He said I would also have less chance to regain the weight due to the dumping syndrome "tool". I've done tons of research and know the bypass is right for me. Surgery is Monday! I think the nerves are normal. Good luck!
