[emoji17] That sucks, I'm sorry. Was this all an insurance requirement, or a requirement of the surgeon? All I had to do was psych and dietician (and I'll have the pre-op labs about 5 days before the surgery).

The 9th was a while ago... I think I'd be a little concerned if it is still dark and not like greenish or yellowish at this point. Probably should at least give the surgeon's office a heads up as to the bruising, and see if that is considered normal this far out.

It's been several months since you posted this, but I'm curious how things went for you, as I'm the same type of picky. I've even tried hypnotherapy to try to get myself to like, or even not vomit from, vegetables. It didn't work. My nut said I should try V8, but to really not worry too much, as long as I have a good multivitamin. My surgery is in November.

I was worried about this, because I do NOT have a med card, but I use cannabis at night (legal state) for my fibromyalgia. My GP is aware of this, and I mentioned it to the surgeon last time I saw him because there was paperwork that said there would be testing. I also brought it up today during my scheduling. He said I could use it up to the night before surgery if I wanted... as long as my regular doctor knows about it, he's good with it. Unsure if I'll continue to use it nightly after surgery or not, because of the munchies factor [emoji1787] but I kinda hope I can, because I really don't want to be on pharms for the fibro. I hope it gets worked out for you!

The surgeon seems like a great person. Very easygoing, asks if I have any questions or concerns, funny... I like him. I don't see any problems, thankfully (and I can be extremely critical of doctors, so this is a good thing!)

I'm new to the forums, but have been reading for a while. So hello! [emoji4] I'm sitting in the waiting room of my surgeon's office, getting ready to chat with him before scheduling. I'm super excited, and ready to get going. Already did my psych eval (I'm sane! Go figure... [emoji1]) and spoke to the dietician. Looking forward to my journey.
