you said your here to help so please help me! question about restriction. i have 5.5 cc in a 9 band when i eat meat it fills up fast ,the pouch but i dont fill full but if im eating things like vegs. or oats or yogurt i could eat all i wanted. cant eat any bready thing gets stuck so is this restricktion or should i get more cc's my doctor keeps asking if i feel full. does he mean pouch or satisfied. would like all advice thanks banded sept 5th 08

first of all make sure you call your pharmasist. not all meds should be broken or crushed.

my realize band is on the right i think that is uo to your doc. my doc says 1 size band large to fit all 9cc

i was banded on sept 5th and have lost 16 lbs since surgery pre op diet was 1 day of liq. lost 1 lb i feel restricted ,can only force down 1/4 cup of soup or yogurt. realize band

got banded sept 5th i chose realize because it was the newest and thought it would have been designed after looking at any flaws the other had. My surg. nurse likes it best says its more plyable , seems stronger and the port is a better form.

no pre-op diet here just liquids 1 day before

with out the protien powder how are you getting enough protien for your body that will really hurt you in the long run

no where on my bottle of exc. does it say not to crush or chew did your doc, tell you not to take it

i used it in lemonade and it was fine usually you would put the unflavored in a thick mixture like smoothies or yogurt, soups gives things a different texture but its the best protein out there and mine going to use it the rest of my life

wow i was told by my dietition not to eat bread like things like this waste of calories and bread things are easily balled up in your stomach and may have a hard time getting them down

seems quick to me i have to wait 2 weeks to eat pureed food. but i would listen to your doctor
