  1. Tentative surgery date of 12/3
  2. Got my referral in the mail today. I can’t wait for them... calling tomorrow morning to get an appointment with the surgeon.
  3. Second for aloe concentrate. I’m not pushing a brand but I like Herbal Life. If you can have caffeine it’s great in the tea.
  4. I’m in preop too but am curious.
  5. Finished my classes today and all of their preop requirements. They are submitting for a referral to the surgeon. Let’s see how long this takes. They said up to two weeks.
  6. Tek good point about having time to worry. Maybe I’ll only take the day before off.
  7. Hello. Anyone take time off before surgery? I’m thinking about taking a week of before surgery and three to four weeks after surgery. That way I can prep and also have no pressure to recover quickly for work.
  8. You might be able to talk your PCP into ordering a sleep study to speed up your process.
  9. My psych evaluation was a phone appointment with a lcsw. It was about 30 minutes of talking. I already have sleep apnea and well treated on my APAP machine so I guess I got to skip that step.
  10. I’m in SoCal too. My group leader refused to comment and said we would find out when we met with the surgeon. I don’t really want to wait until January. I’m taking the first opening. I already warned my work.
  11. Going through Kaiser preop right now. Mine is a ten week program. One more week and then I get to see the surgeon. All my preop they requested so far is done. Fingers crossed there isn’t a long wait due to COVID.
  12. I bought some calcium citrate chewable tablets. I have been taking them as prescribed. For some reason they burn my tongue unless I quickly swallow them with water. Am I going crazy? Is it just me?
  13. I was on 16/8. I did think about just keeping going but really wanted to follow the directions. I think it might have been a stall. I started losing again today. Fingers crossed it keeps going. Saying no to my head is very hard.
  14. I was intermittent fasting when I decided to look into bariatric surgery. Kaiser does not like intermittent fasting. I’m trying to transition back to eating multiple times a day while staying at 1200 calories. I’m failing. I have said no to doughnuts, soda, candy, snacks. I’m taking my vitamins and drinking my water. I initially lost three pounds but now I am stuck. Eating so often is so hard!
