  1. Herbalife has some clear protein powder that mixes well with no odd aftertaste. I do that when I need a break from Fairlife.
  2. I’m almost a year post-op. I’m cold all of the time, unless I am in a hot shower or bath. I layer but find I am just cold under the layers. This is way worse than pre-op. Does it ever end or and I going to be cold forever?
  3. Right here. Surgery at the beginning of December. I’m stuck in the low 190s. If I track everything I put in my mouth I will start losing again but it is hard. Also going through a slight burnt popcorn phase so I think I have some nutrition deficiency going on. I also noticed I have to keep my protein slightly lower than what my surgeon wanted. So my daily goal in order to lose weight is 900-1000 cals with 70-90g of protein. I’ve turned into a grazer, hence needing to track, and tend to go over on the calories. We can do this! Tracking today! Thank you for the checkin.
  4. Thank you for your words. I’m tracking my intake again starting tomorrow.
  5. Just curious. How long after surgery did you hit goal weight? I’m 6 months out and still need another 30-40 lbs.
  6. Next time you should go. Bring something that is good for you and carry a water around in your hand. I’ve learned I’m going to have to get better at conversations since I’m done eating much sooner than others. It’s been hard but very good for me. You can do it!
  7. They seem to be concerned in a not helpful way. I would give them some grace and the next time you see them assure them there have been multiple discussion with your surgeon on it. I was very open from the start with everyone. I got lots of questions and actually a lot of interested people. It’s surprising how many people have been thinking about it. One of my co-workers is out for surgery right now.
  8. Gatorade now has Gatorade zero with 10g of protein! I found it on Amazon.
  9. 2.5 months post op. Still thinning at 6 months post op. I started really thick. Using biotin supplements and mane n tail shampoo and conditioner now. Some weeks better than others. It depends on the vitamins and if I missed any.
  10. I had a sleeve and a hiatal hernia repair. It was like magic. No more GERD.
  11. Jami.1992. Amazing progress. If you don’t mind my asking. How tall are you and what procedure did you have? I’m also glad I’m not the only one having some bumps. I’m post op 5 months and down 48 from surgery, 75 from my highest.
  12. I had ice cream about 2 hours ago. It was delicious.....and I’m still reaching my goals.
  13. So I’ve been a bit of a clothes hoarder the past 15 years. I keep my favorites from past sizes. Since surgery I’ve been getting rid of things as I literally downsize. I just put on my smallest pair of jeans today. A size 17! I’m out of plus size pants!
  14. Hiccups for sure when I take one bite too many.
  15. Checking in. I’m really struggling with exhaustion right now. My surgeon is just pushing more protein on me. My nutritionist doesn’t think it’s anemia but I’m due for lab work soon. One thing I’ve noticed is my resting heart rate used to be high 60’s. Today my Fitbit said my resting heart rate is now 59. Anyone having these issues?
  16. Between the weight loss, the mask, and the new haircut I’m officially unrecognizable. It is very interesting.
  17. So I’ve only been doing light to moderate cardio since surgery. I’m starting to feel my muscle mass decreasing. It’s hard to lift things and such. I’ve been thinking about starting Insanity again. I’ve done it off and on in the past. I’m worried it’s going to make me hungry. What are you all doing to maintain your muscle?
  18. On a side note I didn’t realize how much I missed crossing my legs.
  19. No. I’ve been trying to get my vitamin as and calcium in. I can’t imagine adding more.
  20. Thanks all. I ordered the procare ones today. I think this will help. I wasn’t on meds before surgery so after surgery taking vitamins 4 times a day was really hard. Moving to am vitamin, afternoon and evening calcium will be more doable for me I think.
