  1. I had my lapband surgery on June 8, 2008. It has been almost 3 months since my surgery and I have lost 67 lbs. It is definitely doable if you follow your diet and exercise.
  2. I joined Curves. I go to Curves every morning before work, it is a 30 minute workout and perfect for someone my age. I never had any trouble with vomiting at all. I chew my food really well and everything I have tried so far has not made me sick.
  3. I am 9 weeks out of surgery I have lost 55lbs in 9weeks. My surgery was on June 9, 2008. I was doing really well on my first visit back to the doctor with a weight loss of 23lbs. I did'nt feel like I needed a fill, but he wanted me to have at least one, so on July 8th I had my first fill. I eat about every three hours and I don"t feel hungry at all. I am so pleased with my band I tell everyone about it. I have a long way to go yet but I know I will make it to my goal weight. I just went back to the doctor on August 8th and he said I was doing so well I did'nt need to come back for 2 months.
  4. I am 41/2 weeks post banking. At my 2 week check up I had lost 21lbs. For a week after that I did not lose any weight. I was really getting discouraged because I was following the diet exactly. I thought how could I be eating so little and not lose any weight. Then I started losing again. I just went for my four week check-up and I am down a total of 34lbs. My nutritionist said that when you lose so much weight so fast like I did in the first 2 weeks your body thinks yor are starving to death and kicks into the survival mode. So don't worry just hang in there and you will start losing again.
  5. You are not suppose to chew gum the reason I was told is that if you accidently swallowed it it could block up the hole to your stomach.
  6. I just had my band surgery June 9th. By Dr. Sonnenstein at St. Luke Hospital in Florence KY. I only had it done two days ago so I don't have much to report right now. Hope to report good results in a month or so.
