  1. Yesterday I had my gallbladder out and I have to say thus far it has been REALLY easy. I feel a bit sore but that's the extent of it. Thanks to everyone for their support.
  2. That is fantastic! Keep it up girl~
  3. La Chula, i'm so sorry to hear that. No i've never heard of that problem but please keep us posted.
  4. Huge NSV!!! So I was at work today and they started a "biggest loser" contest. Everyone donates 10 dollars and the highest percentage of weight lost wins the pot. So of course i'm in. I've been riding my bike and doing the elliptical. I SWEAR to you that 3 people came up to me today telling me I was so skinny I didn't need to lose weight? It felt fantastic but it's hard for me to believe them. I am still 15 lbs from goal but I do feel great about myself. But someone actually called me skinny...and wondered why I was trying to lose weight. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!
  5. Be truthful. I took off for "gallbladder surgery" and low and behold...now I have to REALLY have my gallbladder out.
  6. They fixed it when they did my band. I didn't even know i had one.
  7. WONDERFUL TO KNOW!!! I have been concerned and thinking that no one really knew what my job entailed. Thank you so much for the info. I'm not so worried about it anymore.
  8. That's good to know. How long was your recovery time? The doc said I could go back to work Wed. and my surgery is on Saturday. I teach elementary school...and have gotten varied opinions on this.
  9. I know MANY lapband patients have to have their gallbladder removed. Well mine is coming out Saturday morning. What can I expect after surgery? Will my life style have to change at all? Did you have any complications? Thanks
  10. Sounds very similar to what happened to me...it happened twice and I ended up calling the docs emergency number. One sonogram later i am scheduled to get my gallbladder out on Saturday. Don't eat foods that are spicy, greasy or high in fat and don't over eat. STAY AWAY FROM CHINEESE FOOD.
  11. I was banded November of last year
  12. Wow! You are so beautiful! Congratulations...and can I say WOW again?!?
  13. I worry about the same thing melreece. Mornings and lunch i'm restricted...at night there's nothing. WHY
  14. I have the same concerns...
  15. I say tell him. Secrets are no good plus you'll feel better being open with him. Things will be even more obvious when you're able to eat maybe 5 bites of food before you're done.
  16. LIBGS Locked igloos burn great sometimes Tbgms
  17. Yes I have the same problem and would LOVE an explanation or solution
  18. I'm a teacher too and i'm RIGHT THERE WITH YOU! Its not right at all
  19. And it's all I can do to get it off. I know it's not really going any slower than usual but I think since i'm SO close I am more and more anxious to get to goal. Any ideas to kick it up?
  20. How long does your doc have you stay on liquids after you get a fill?
  21. The answer...the world may never know. Haha
  22. Thanks for the info guys. It is really rough but it's nice to know that it seems to go somewhat smoothly.
  23. Mine is on my left side, under my largest incision. It feels like a button about the size of a quarter...or maybe half dollar.
  24. I went in to see the doc. today and he said to get it taken out. I asked him how long recovery time would be and he said to get it out on Saturday and I could be back to teaching on Monday...Tuesday at the latest. I was SHOCKED. What was your recovery time? I'm pretty active and up and about with these elementary kids and just have a hard time thinking that its that easy....
  25. I know that this varies from person to person but I want to know the general consensus. How many calories do you consume for optimal weightloss?
