Was this a big fill for you? What were you at? I would advise on staying on liquids or mushies for at least a week. I am banded and filled to a 8.5 and when I my fill was alot I would not feel well for a week or so because my body was adjusting, I have also been over filled only by a 1/2 cc before and went back and an adjustment to remove the fluid and felt good again. So you could have been over filled.

I have been banded since 3/23/09 and my band is the best choice I have made for my self in years and when I was banded and since then I have told EVERYONE that asks proudly. The reason why for me is I encourage anyone wanting the same help I needed to look into it and if I can give someone the encouragement that they need then so be it. I was not ashamed of it and my coworkers were and are so proud of me and encourage me. You may be shocked to see the support you could get even from ones that do not really know you. Just my side:)
  3. I understand what you are going through. I was banded on 3-23-09 and the gas pains were horrible and I just cried. Your best friends right now is gonna be Gas-X strips, they disolve on your tongue and they work better than the tablets. I used to take 3 at a time and it would help tremdously. As far as having a bowel movement, I took pericolase (walmart has a generic brand that works just as good) and this helped alot too. Hang in the it is all worth it. It was 3 months band for me yesterday and I am down 57lbs and have not felt this good in 16 years. Keep us updated!!!
  4. I am day 4 post op and the gas pains have been horrible. I wake up in the middle of the night and do circles in my living room. I sit next to my kids and they laugh because they can here my stomach. Gas-X lets me get to sleep at night but boy after 2 hours the pain comes right back!!! OWWWWW!!! My husband looked at me crazy last night cuz I finally started "tooting" and couldnt be any happier!!! lol.... I have one gas bubble in my shoulder that makes me want cut my arm off!!! I can not wait till this part is over. Even with how unpleasent all of this is I would do it 10 times over. I am so excited for my new beginning that all the Gas is worth it!!:smile2:
