Hypothyroidism and gastric bypass surgery
Yes! I have also wondered about this! I am only allowed water for an hour after after I take my synthroid and I don't take any type of vitamin until several hours later, as well, usually in the evening to avoid interference. I am going to my last appointment today before my preop diet starts and I will ask and get back to everyone either this evening or tomorrow morning on what I find out.

Some Surprises I didn't expect with WLS
WHAT, WHAT, WHAT!!!!???? I had no idea this was a possibility! My feet grew with both of my pregnancies, but did not even in my wildest dreams think they could shrink! I have ‘Peggy Hill feet’. Well... almost - 11.5 to 12!! It is sooo difficult finding shoes, I usually have to buy men’s! ?. Oh my Holy Hannah!!! You have made my year!!! Crossing fingers for future foot shrinkage! Woooohooooo!!!! CONGRATS on all your successes!!! Thank you for sharing!

Welcome @Pkump and @BostonRiley!! Congrats on the weight loss so far @Pkump!! Amazing!! I am crossing my fingers I will have similar results! Only a few days to go! I will be crossing all my digits for you! @BostonRiley I think you have the closest date to mine (2/22)!!! Hurry up and wait, right?! When do you start your preop diet? I am going in for my last informational meeting on Wednesday... eeek! I start the diet on 2/8. I am assuming I will get all the details on Wednesday. I am clearly over-preparing (severe fear of the unknown)... my current buys:

Tracking Intake
My surgery isn't scheduled until 2/22, but I found this on on Amazon and it is amazing! I find that I am not consistent with the app tracking and better at tracking with pen/paper, especially if I have something that is functional and pretty... this fits the bill! It is a little more expensive than most trackers - but it is undated and it is hard covered. It doesn't have much room for activity tracking, but I created my own separate activity dot journal that I got at Michaels for super cheap. link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y26M89X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1

February 2021 bypassers?
Yes! Ditto! I can't live like this anymore either (knees, feet, you name it!) We just need to stay positive and know that so many more opportunities will open when we are not imprisoned in our current bodies! I just really need to stop watching youtube videos, I think! I am obsessing too much!! Fear of the unknown...

February 2021 bypassers?
Welcome @conniejoy529, @LOLove, @mwd and @raebo1979 !! So glad you posted on this board. Good luck to each of you on your upcoming surgeries! So close for all of you! I hope that you will come back and tell us about how it is going afterwards! I don't know about all of you, but I am becoming overly obsessed with everything WLS connected lately AND having major negative "what if" thoughts. Hoping that as my date comes closer, that these thoughts will lessen. I don't start my pre-op diet until 2/8...so I am still in the 'hurry up and wait' phase. Would love to hear how each of you are doing as we go forward! Good luck everyone!

That sounds pretty good compared to full liquid diet! How is it going for you? I am not sure what I will be required to do yet, but from the little booklet they hand out, there may be a few options.

Backlash??
Yes, that is something I am working on. It has always been my first reaction... hard to push down the defensiveness sometimes when you are consistently having to prove that you are allowed to take up space... thank you! Yes, thank you! This site is amazing - I guess curiosity wins out sometimes...I really just need to stop going to the sites where trolls and ignorance rule. Ha. I have been following your progress - you look amazing! Congrats!!! Thank you for sharing this. I figured this may be the case. If someone is going to be hateful, they will try to do so at any opportunity they can. I am so sorry you experienced this! BUT, I am glad that you described it as pathetic. That is indeed what it is. Pathetic. Thank you! Oh my goodness! I really never thought of it this way! Thank you. You are right!! So good to hear this! Thank you. You are all right, people will be hateful, mean and nasty especially when you are easy prey...which I am right now. I plan to use this advise and say EFF 'em! Thank you all! This community really is amazing.

Backlash??
Yes, it is absolutely insane. I think that @Deb9386 hit the nail on the head. The internet is full to the brim with trolls lately and I really should start avoiding these other sites, but curiosity seems to always win out. I am consistently looking for both sides of the story. I was just really curious if anyone on this site experienced what was mentioned... I have no doubts whatsoever that there are health professionals out there that are fat phobic. I have years and years of medical records to prove just that. "Oh, you have a sore throat? Well, it's because you are fat." "You are suffering from a head cold? Well, it's because you are fat." "You ran your foot over with a lawnmower and lost two of your toes? Well, it's because you are fat." Believe me, I have lived it. What I was questioning was whether the troll was actually a nurse or just posing as one to bring validity to the ignorant views they spouted on that site.

Hypothyroidism and gastric bypass surgery
I also have thyroid issues...currently on synthroid and liothyronine. The little amount of weight I have lost thus far has been hard fought and so, I have been wondering how this will play into weight loss after surgery. I think @Deb9386 might be on to something with the meds...(Good luck with the endno doc - crossing my fingers for you!) Hopefully we can all find that fine line of what amounts we need to take. It has been a long battle trying to get that number correct...I have a feeling it may continue to be one. But, the great news is that your doctor actually has agreed you have a thyroid issue. Most don't even bother testing for it. Good Luck everyone. I will make sure to post my results as I go along....

How do you handle the "How much have you lost" question?
I have to say, that I am SOOOO looking forward to this: But, I am more than positive that after working remotely since March of last year, when I finally do get to go back... I am going to witness this look more than once. Looking forward to it! HA!!
