  1. Hi everyone, I'm kinda new only and posted a few times, I had VSG on 8/19 and so far everything has been going smoothly for my healing. I found these awesome little containers at my local Home Goods and I also saw them at TJ Maxx the same day and really wanted to share. (Yesterday 8/31/20) They were in the housewares section by the rest of the Tupperware style containers. I think they were $3.99 and it comes with 12 they are freezer, microwave, and I think dishwasher safe, although they are easy enough to wash by hand lol. They fit appropriately 1/3 cup (I measured) which is about 2.5 oz I believe. I plan on using them to freeze some shredded/pureed chicken for lunches when I go back to work. But I really wanted to share because they are cheap, reusable, and perfect size. 😁 Debbie.
  2. I've seen that, its on my list but im really debating cuz im not a fan of ricotta. It wouldn't look too pretty but im sure it would taste fine in a container 😀
  3. I plan on making different chicken recipes in the crockpot, using like 2 big pieces, and freezing whats leftover after dinner 😀 i found a bunch on pinterest. So far its been perfect size for my overnight oats 😀😀
  4. Thats what my original plan was, to use those ones, but then I found these and they are perfect.😁 Debbie.
  5. I am also scheduled for my sleeve surgery Wednesday and I couldn't be more relaxed and calm. Im actually just so ready to get it over with. This two week preop diet hasn't been super horrible but I could really go for a freaking sandwich right now. Lol. I also only have about 80 lbs to loose but I have been heavy since elementary school and I know that I can not do it on my own. My PCP is extremely supportive in my decision to get the sleeve. Once this whole corona thing started I was debating getting the surgery and she encouraged me to go through with it. She believes I will be successful with it and I kinda believe her As previously people have said, its all up to you. Only you know yourself, your habits, and your body. If you feel this is what you need then I wouldn't worry about anyone else, this is all about you. Debbie.

    August Date!

That sounds awesome, I am definitely going to get me a moose! I'm not worried about the nurses, I work at the hospital that I'm having my surgery so I know many of the nurses. 😁 thank you for all your tips. I plan on walking as much as possible and keeping hydrated. Debbie.

    August Date!

Hi everyone! This is my first post, I've been creeping around on the boards for months now lol, but I finally got my date! August 19th 2020! I am so excited. This has been a long process, over a year, plus with this whole corona thing I was beginning to doubt it was ever going to happen. A little about me, I'm about 5ft 3 inches tall and my current weight is 235. Not too far from my highest which was 242. I'm getting the sleeve. I will be starting a full liquid diet on Aug 5th and going to a clear liquid diet on Aug 12th. Any tips/ tricks/advice/encouragement/etc. Is greatly appreciated 😀 i have been doing so much research that I am feeling super prepared for this chapter in this journey I call life! Debbie.
