congratuations, I'm 2 weeks out and lost 15 lbs. I understand about eating only 15 mins. I too, was a RN on the ER for years. I haven't work since my twins arrived 3 years ago. One suggestion, try to bring a slim fast to work. You can drink get reengerized and run back to work. Because you will never get more time. Keep you the good work.
  2. Yes, the time out thing is hard, I too usually have to carry them to the spot, but can't right now. I'm lucky though that both my kids aren't big. My daughter is only 19 lbs, my son 25lbs. Hang in there, Allison
  3. I too, am so sorry about all your troubles. I'm only a week post -op, but I don't seem to be having huge issues of keeping things down yet. However, I agree with others that you need to find some more support and better MD. My MD encourages to call, and will get me in at anytime when I feel I need it. Plus, they have support groups, and the staff is great. try to hang in there. As you can see we on this site will support you.
  4. I wish I could have sent my 3 yr olds to grandma and grandpa's. One of my biggest problems, is not carrying them. My daughter is getting very upset that I'm carrying her like I usually do. And, that is hard for me too...
  5. bobina, I'm still on a liquid diet until this friday then go to mushies, on the 21st on nov. I can strat real food again. I've never been a smoker, but I now how harder it must be for them to quit. Because we are quitting our food. I know a lot of smoker who still a cig. even now and then. Do you have children. I have 3 yrold twins, it's hard cooking for them and giving them snacks without a bite. Hang in there. Allison
  6. I too, was banded on the 24th. I haven't fallen off the wagon yet, but I feel myself going. It's hard but we must be strong. Stop eating now and start over with a new outlook. Not that you fell off the wagon but it's a new beginning, again. good luck. I know how you feel. Allison

Good luck, I start my on Friday. I'm getting scared about the whole thing. I went to Costco today to stock up on the water and my nurse suggested G2. I'll finish the othr shopping for the sugar free stuff to tomorrow. A friend of my suggested liquid Ca. instead of the tums, easier to get down after surgery.
