I’m doing good, 2 months and one week post op. I am on my second stall. First one lasted 3 weeks. I am down 29lb since surgery ? I still vomit after meals about once a week I guess from the trapped gas - overall I’m grateful for this

Hi everyone, I am 40 days post op. I have lost 21 lbs since surgery. I am at the soft food stage but and I start regular diet on Wednesday. I have hard time eating food and it causes so much pressure in my chest. Is this sign of dumping?

Hello everyone, I had my VSG on July 7th. First week I dropped about 10 lbs which was great. The past 3 weeks I have lost 3 lbs. Do you guys know the reason for this long stall? And how can I break it? I’m getting really frustrated

Congratulations! I was sleeved July 7th. I’m down 12lbs. I have bad spams when food goes down. What is exercise routine like?

I’m sorry to hear that! Try to be patient. I felt the same way last week when I was sleeved. I am 9 days post op. Yesterday and today are much better. Just give it time. Warm fluids worked better for me. Chamomile tea worked magic with the bloating and gas. Walking after fluid intake helped as well. Be careful not to stretch out your stomach it can make other things worse

I was sleeved on the 7th. I had to stay an additional day since I wasn’t passing gas or taking in enough fluid and was discharged yesterday. I’m still not taking in enough fluid as nutrients required ( 2-4 oz/hr) I’m getting 6-8 per day! The pain was crazy the first two days, now it’s manageable with Tylenol. I’m also doing intentional walking ~25 min other than the moving around the house walking. Chamomile tea with no sugar is a great way to get rid of gas! Make sure to have it How is everyone doing so far?

I was sleeved yesterday! I feel pain and pressure in my belly and shoulders. I was given pain meds and muscle relaxers. I was expected to be discharged today but Plan changed for tomorrow. I am on clear liquid for now, tomorrow I start adding protein shakes to my diet

I am scheduled for July 7 as well! I started liquid diet on Tuesday. My previous surgery date was March 17 which was cancelled hours before due to COVID

My surgery was cancelled til further notice due to the corona outbreak! It was scheduled for tomorrow. It sucks because I went through rough pre-op diet struggles

Wow! Good for you! 9 days so far!! That true dedication I haven’t started my liquid diet and I’m already freaking out!! It feels so real now
