That's a great idea! I wish I still had my old "skinny" clothes!

Has anyone heard actual cases of hospitals canceling or postponing elective surgeries? Ebbii, I think it would be very wise for your surgeon to ground you from travel. I work in Special Events so I've been involved in lots of conversations with Health Department Officials. While there's no reason to panic, this is something to be taken seriously.

Cia, I totally get what you're saying about comparing journeys. But it is a little hard for me to relate to someone who has a lot more weight to lose than me, or who is much older/younger, or a man!

My friends and family have been wholly supportive, but none of them really understand what I'm going through. Looking for a surgery buddy with similar stats to be my weight loss BFF! I'm a 41 year old female, 5'5", starting weight 260. VSG is scheduled for April 7th! Anybody out there like me?!

It's official! My surgery date is April 7th! I'm having VSG and also getting my nasty ol' gall bladder removed. I start my pre-op diet on March 28th - 10 days, but it's not too bad. It's kind of like the Slim Fast plan - 2 shakes and a sensible dinner (plus lots and lots of water!) I'm beyond excited! And also nervous and anxious and all that other stuff!

My mom had Gastric Bypass 11 years ago and has had great success! She gained a bit over the years, but is now maintaining at a very healthy weight. I'm so glad to have her as I embark on this journey!

Hi all, I'm new here! After 7 months of waiting, I found out last week that my insurance has approved and I meet with my surgeon on March 10. Hoping my surgery date will be some time in early April! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!
